Captain Ditto’s first PVP Pet brawl in Pirate101!!
Captain Ditto has been training up two of his pets, Mighty Max and Lord Midnight, and we decided to try some real PVP! It took a while to start a match (probably because Captain Ditto has only unlocked two slots, versus three or four) and the brawl ended up being two against three! It looked like we were outmatched, but the Pet System makes sure it’s even. How do you think Captain Ditto and his pets did?
So I’ve trained up Might Max to Level 42, and I got Lord Midnight my Ebon Spectre to level 39, so they’re doing pretty well! For training strategy, I make sure I pick the highest level training task I have the gear for, and then I sometimes even set a timer on my phone so I can log back in when the training is done and get another training started. (Yes I’ve actually done that… Miss Narrator thinks I may be crazy…) I also make sure I also have lots of yummy pet snacks- they REALLY like that, and it definitely helps with the training!! I also make sure my crew do a lot of pet tasks, to get more pet training gear – I think that’s the biggest thing that slows me down is when I run out of pet gear, so I’ve got to so more pet brawls to make sure I’m well stocked up!

Captain Ditto continues to learn about Pirate101 Advanced Pets and finds out about Pet Sparring! Of course, having no idea what he is doing, Ditto doesn’t do all that well… but it is definitely fun!
New Pirate101 Contest – Petfinder in The Spiral! Have you seen my Flying Fish?
Contest time again, and this time I’ve got a fun one! Everyone is talking about pets, pets, and more pets, and there are so many pets these days, a few are bound to get lost! Well, I don’t want YOUR pets to get lost – that would make Ditto sad – but with so many new pets in The Spiral, YOU just found one wandering around lost, and you need to find it’s owner. How do you do that? You’re going to create a ‘Spiral PetFinder’ ad for this strange pet you’ve found, describing what it is, what it looks like, and at least one interesting distinguishing trait. Like so:
FOUND: Small orange flying rabbit with blue paws. Seems to enjoy yum and carrots, makes a cute squeaky sound when you pet him under the chin…
The pets don’t have to be real Pirate101 pets, but they can be; it’s totally up to you! Send your ‘Spiral Petfinder’ ad to dittopirate@gmail.com with the subject ‘Found Pet’. The contest will run from now to Sunday, June 15th at midnight EST, and winners will be chosen after that. For winners, I’m going to award the top five best ads, as chosen by me and Miss Narrator, and then the remaining winners will be chosen by random drawing.

Captain Ditto explores Advanced Pets in Pirate101
More fun changes in Pirate101! Ditto starts exploring the Advanced Pet system with the ‘Silly Pet Tricks’ quest, and winds up at the amazing ‘Petathalon’, where he learns all about pets and other fun stuff! First, he trades Mako Mori a cool trinket for a pet egg, then he heads over to Bestia to the amazing Petathalon, where he learns all about cool pets, pet training, pet breeding, and pie! OK, maybe Ditto was just eating pie while he was playing…
Captain Ditto explores the ‘New and Improved’ Pirate101
So Ditto is finally checking out the ‘New and Improved’ Pirate101, with Advanced Companions, Advanced Pets, and other cool stuff… Of course Captain Ditto really has no idea what he’s doing, so this video is a lot of clicking buttons and seeing what they do – but in a cute, fuzzy way that will hopefully be highly entertaining!!
Ditto’s Video Bloggy Thingy for May 19th
Hello, it is the Ditto with another Video Bloggy Thingy! It has been a while – Ditto has been very busy with lots of stuff, sorry about that. But here me is now, so on to the twitter report!
This morning Ditto has an amazing 1899 followers! Wow! Me is still planning on doing something cool and special when I hit 2000… Wait and see!
So the games – well, like Ditto said, he has been very busy lately, so me haven’t played as much as I’d like. In Piate101 I’m still in Cool ranch, though I made a couple nautical levels lately! In Pirate101 Ditto is nearly done with Avalon, so that is pretty exciting! Hopefully me will be done pretty soon.
Ditto hasn’t even been playing Hearthstone much – that is a fun game with exciting, quick-to-play matches – I like jumping in with my mage or my rogue every now and then, but not so uch lately.
One thing I have been doing is enjoying myself outside – the weather has been perfect lately! I’ve been out riding my bike, and playing with Chip on the swingset, and even helping greenly in his garden – that’s a lot of fun, and we’ve got lots of plants coming up! Ditto wil have to make a video of that soon! It’s just like Wizard101 Gardening. Ok, not really – but it’s still fun.
So that’s it for today, have lots of fun in the spiral, but make sure you unplug once in a while and enoy the beautiful weather! If the weather is nice where you are, of course…

Ditto’s Pirate101 Witchdoctor’s Pet contest winners!
Well – better late than never, here are the winners of my Pirate101 ‘Witchdoctor’s Pet’ contest! This was a fun one – I had no idea how creative folks can be! I asked you to create a Witchdoctor’s pet, something fun and silly, and you didn’t disappoint. Here are the winners, who got randomly chosen prizes of Witchdoctor’s Labs, pets, companions, or crowns.
Dangerous Mike: the witchdoctor pet could be a soulreaver the chick spell but in a pet form. you would be able to change the color of it to anything. the talent would be summoning a spirit from the dead to help you it could be from mailstaire to a bumble bee wearing a cow costume with high heels and t-rex arms
<Sunny Luis Smith: A green pet Yum and that its power is “distraction”, makes every opponent from attacking to Yum to distract them and the pirate attack Meanwhile are distracted, enemies that attack to Yum do not know that the pet resists a 99% (if you use “distraction”, resist)
Dark Colin Holystone: My pet idea is a Poltrygeist it is a ghost juju chicken(all blue as ghosts look in pirate101 and with red glowing eyes) with two powers the first is the juju spel which at adult becomes big juju and at epic becomes Great Juju and the second power is that she blows a egg from which hatches a skeletal wyvern
Stormy Blaze Silver: The pet to a witchdoctor pirate is a haunted banana and its power is that if the pirate was defeated, will be revived by the pet (only once) and transformed into a powerful gorilla for 50% more strong.
DeadEye Daniel: The FearRat, a Ferret that got “scared to death” so bad it has rotting fur with a solid white streak of hair going down his back and front. Unfortunately he has a bad habit of following any armadillo pets around, falling down their holes and losing its tail. This Ferret, known for liking shiny things breaks into houses and “infests” his deathly scare into them so when the users wear the jewelry they turn into the undead. The undead then turn in the “shinnies’” to the witchdoctor and help the FearRat get more gold!
Eccentric Elizabeth Sharp: Skeletal Parrot – name – Toxic Bombardier. Poison pouch around his neck – With an eye patch .He rasps instead of squawking. Power – poison droppings. He poops – ok, drops – green slimy thingees that poison the enemy.
Patrick: My idea for a witchdoctor pet is similar to the enchanted armament in wizard101. It would be floating bones, and those bones can do anything. The bones would be different colors, and as it levels up the bones get sharper and bigger. A power would be that they can form into a sword, summon things, form a skeleton (like polymorphing), etc.

New Video Bloggy Thingy plus new Wizard101 and Pirate101 contests!!
Hi everybody it is the Ditto with a fun video bloggy thingy – with contests!! Yay! And yes, Ditto said ‘contests’ as in multiple, so stay tuned, this will be so much fun!!

First – the twitter report! It has been a while, but Ditto now has 1873 followers – wow! Pretty close to two thousand now! That is so amazing, thank you so much to all my fans and followers! I’m going to do something cool at 2000 followers, so stay tuned for that! Oh, have you noticed the changes in Twitter? Seems like a lot going on there, huh? I think I like it so far…
Next – the games! Ditto has been bouncing back and forth between the Wizard101 and Pirate101 test realms, because there are lots of changes coming! Ditto does really like the Pirate101 companion changes – it makes me feel more like I have a cohesive ‘crew’, and I don’t have to worry about my level 3 mouse fencer popping up in a critical fight and getting one-shotted. I do think it’s a cool change so far.
In Wizard101 – I’m still trying to make it through Avalon – it’s fun but I don’t think the overall story is as engaging as earlier ones. Not sure why – it’s not a bad thing, and maybe I’m not playing it often enough to get the whole ‘big picture’ story… it is fun though, and I love the scenery and the Monty Python references…
So that leaves us with… contests! I have two, and all details are written in the description as well, but here they are:
In Wizard101, I have a bunch of Mannequin codes to give away – each grants a male and a female mannequin that you can decorate your house with – fun! All you need to do to enter the contest is name them – give them clever names, like ‘Archie and Betty’ or ‘Jack and Jill’ or something like that – come up with a clever pair of names and send that – plus your wizard name – to Ditto’s contest email (dittocontest@gmail.com). The contest ends on Saturday the 26th at midnight and winners will be chosen randomly the following day. Winners get the mannequins plus a castle bric-a-brac elixir. Easy!
For Pirate101, I have codes for random Springtime Pets and the Witchdoctor’s Lab – these are pretty great! For this contest, I want to combine the two things into something funny or silly – I want you to tell me about your idea for a Witchdoctor’s Pet, including one witchdoctor pet power. For example – the pet could be the voodog, a black dog wearing a tophat, and his power is to dig up bones and reanimate them into a skeletal… whatever they were before they were bones. Could be a Skeletal Pirate, but could also be a Skeletal bunny or a skeletal chicken. I want these to be extra silly and fun.
For the Pirate101 contest you have an extra week (I’ve learned my lesson not to end two contests at the same time), so send your entry, with your pirate name, to Ditto’s Pirate contest email (dittopirate@gmail.com) by Saturday May 3rd, and I’ll choose the winners the next day, on Sunday the 4th.

Captain Ditto mastering Ship to Ship combat… Kinda
So Captain Ditto and his trusty crew are seeking out medicine to cute that Lone Ranger chicken guy (I think… Ditto is easily confused) and to do that, he must engage in thrilling ship to ship combat!
Ditto gets the Hoodu Bundle and trains new skills!
Ditto has made level 20 and gets the new Hoodu bundle, with a great outfit, a cool spooky ship, and a cute monkey witch doctor companion who is really good!
Ditto also meets with Morgan Lafitte, his Swashbuckler trainer, and gets trained up in some new skills and powers!
Back in Pirate101 – Ditto seeks out Merriweather and makes level 20!!
After their disappointment at Scorpion Rock, Ditto and crew head back to find Merriwether and see what he knows about this mysterious ‘Captain Blood’ – sounds like a scary guy!! Merriweather doesn’t know much, but sends Ditto and crew to talk to the sheriff, Rooster Cogburn himself, to get more information on their elusive foe!
I also realized I made level 20 in this video, which is a very big deal! I’ll be training up and getting some new equipment soon!
Captain Ditto faces the Scorpion Queen! Pirate101
Deep in the caves under Scorpion Rock, Captain Ditto and his crew have faced hordes of scorpions, ghost cowboys, and more! Now they face their most fearsome foe – the Scorpion Queen herself!!
This battle is incredibly fierce and Ditto’s crew fights to the last man – literally – to defeat the arachnid foes (Did you know Scorpions are arachnids, not insects?) and find the piece of Marco Pollo’s map. However, in the end the crew finds a plot twist worthy of a Shyamalan movie – one of the good ones, too!!
Captain Ditto and Crew face Scorpion Rock!!
Hot on the trail of Marco Pollo’s map, Captain Ditto and crew head into the caves under Scorpion Rock and find… scorpions!! Lots and lots of scorpions! Ditto and crew have to defeat lots of scorpions to make their way deeper into the cave, searching for the piece of Marco Pollo’s map!

Captain Ditto and crew are back in Pirate101 and looking for fragments of Marco Pollos’ map! Legend has it, there’s a piece located at Scorpion Rock, so that’s where Captain Ditto is heading. And as a bonus – Scorpion Rock kind of looks like a scorpion! Isn’t that neat? 🙂
Captain Ditto heads to Elder Bluff
Once Captain Ditto made it out of the Bison Burial Grounds, he headed to Elder Bluff to speak to the Bison guys about their stolen artifacts. Of course, the Bison aren’t really all that talkative, so Ditto and his trusty first mate had to clash with the top Bison warriors before the chief would even speak to them. Ditto is really stressed by all this fighting… I think my fur is singed a bit.
Bison Burial Ground Part 2 – Ghost of a Chance!!
After Captain Ditto and crew defeated the angry Bison warriors in the burial ground, things got worse – much worse. The Bison shaman guy did some crazy mojo and rose up the ghosts of ancient Bison Spirit Shaman! And once THEY were defeated, things just got weird with an attack of – get this – Ghost Jackalopes! And they were not just silly – they were viscous!!
Captain Ditto in the Bison Burial Ground, Part 1
This is the start of a pretty intense set of battles, each one weirder than the last! It all starts with the cries of Nurse Quinn, Medicine Chicken, who had been taken captive by some Bison. Captain Ditto has to face down the angry Bison warriors in a tough battle, but once that was done, our furry orange hero on his crew were apparently just getting started…
Captain Ditto loses a Merriweather…. and half his crew!
Cool Ranch is already starting to concern Ditto a lot. Searching for Merriweather Clark, Ditto has to seek out Professor Murgatroyd. Unfortunately, there is a nest of scorpions between Ditto and his goal, and a huge fight ensues… these scorpions must have been mutant scorpions or something like that, because they were TOUGH and took out most of my crew – I had to hire some higher level henchmen to help me out here – it was scary! I made it through though, and talked to Professor Murgatroyd about the whereabouts of Mister Clark. He wasn’t there, naturally, but I managed to get out of his camp without fighting those monster scorpions again.
Ditto’s Furry Look Back at 2013!!
So 2013 has come to a close, and 2014 has started – on a Wednesday. Camels around the world must be THRILLED about that… Ditto had a REALLY good 2013, and was so happy to share it all with my awesome fans, friends, and followers! So how did Ditto do in 2013?
Ditto high above the PAX Floor – so many people!
Just looking at the numbers, pretty great! Ditto posted 131 new posts, with 121 pictures and 108 videos posted throughout the year!! There were also 18 contests – that’s nearly 2 a month! That’s a lot of blogging for one furry monster, that’s for sure, and people appreciated it – Ditto had over 57,000 visitors here in 2013!! That’s more people than would fit in Fenway Park or Yankee Stadium! Wow! (more…)
Captain Ditto makes it to Cool Ranch!! Pirate101
Ditto is finally making some fun new gameplay videos, and I’m starting out with Pirate101, since I haven’t played or done a video in a while. So Ditto and his crew make their way to Cool Ranch, where there unfortunately learn that their contact Christopher Clark is no longer available due to a slight case of being dead. Fortunately, Clark had a son named Merriweather who may be able to help… if we can find him.
I have a sneaking suspicion that I know exactly what’s going to happen next, and it is related to a lot of sailing, searching, and fighting.
And Ditto’s new monster is named….
After going through all the entries – some of them multiple times – my new monster has made his decision and picked our winners! The new name he chose is: Horatio Yahto!!

Ditto’s Video Bloggy Thingy (a few days late)
So I recorded this and put it up over the weekend, but for some odd reason it never posted publicly. Weird.

Hello everybody, it is the Ditto, and it’s time for another Video Bloggy Thingy! Sorry it’s been so long, but Ditto has been having so much fun in-game, sometimes he forgets to do these…
So to start off, the Twitter report – Ditto is up to 1675 followers! Wow! Ditto also has 1,195 YouTube subscribers, and 1,282 followers on Facebook – that is so cool!! Thanks everyone who follows Ditto, it makes a furry orange monster very happy!!
For games, Ditto has been playing a lot of both Pirate101 and Wizard101 lately! For Pirate101, Ditto finished his first set of Valencia quests and is now in Cool Ranch – All I Can think of is doritos now. Mmmm. For Wizard101, I’m doing well in Avalon, but it is VERY hard – lots of huge boss fights and very challenging battles! My third battle was against a huge dragon – it was so tough!!
In order to build myself up a bit more, Ditto actually took a bit of a break and headed to WinterTusk – I hadn’t finished that yet, and it seems like there’s a few spells that I missed, so I’m going back and re-doing that. It’s fun to go back to do older content – after spending time in Avalon, Wintertusk is much less stressful!!
Outside the game, Ditto and Miss Narrator are working on ‘Spiral Wars’ for Spiral Radio 101 – it’s a fun project and we hope people are enjoying it as much as we are. We’re planning something special coming up, too. Stay tuned for that.
And while Ditto did not have any contests in November, December will be a very different story – I’ll have some pretty great stuff coming up, with lots of prizes, so stay tuned for that!
