Captain Ditto fights Haku in the Ancient Tomb of DOOOOOOM!
Ditto is on The Island of Doom and, to get help from the Monquistans there, he has to help them with their little ‘pest control’ problem – namely Haku, a Water Mole leader, who has the whole Water Mole population in an uprising against the Monquistans.
Ditto searches through the dark and scary tomb to find the dreaded Haku, and a massive fight ensues! But just when Ditto’s team finally defeats Haku, thinking the battle is won, something even WORSE attacks out of the shadows! Ditto and his crew are in a monster-movie fight for their life deep in the Ancient Tomb of DOOOOOOOM….
Ditto’s Pirate101 Springtime Contest Winners!
Sometimes it is hard for Ditto to come up with fun and interesting contests, but this one is probably going to wind up being one of Ditto’s favorites – though it was definitely one of the hardest to judge!! The challenge was to take a picture of a cute Pirate101 pet and give it a funny or cute caption, like all those pictures of cute kitties and hedgehogs talking about cheeseburgers and stuff, and wow did I get some GREAT entries!! Here are the winning images, congratulations to the winners and thanks everyone who entered!!! This was a lot of fun!
- Fearless Connor Carter
- Wicked Esmeralda Nightingale
- Golden Jack
- Brave Alex Richmond
- Clever Luke Lawson
- Dreaming Kevin Morgan
- Crazy Ashley Moone
- Silly Jewel Vane
- Leesha Moone
- Amanda Hawkins
- Zane Vinter
- Sarcastic Saffron Silver
Ditto Does a Cat Video!! Introducing Ditto’s new Kitty, ‘Susan’!
Ditto has a new kitty cat, who he named Miss Whiskers, but she prefers the name Susan – who can understand cats? So Ditto wants to try to get into this whole ‘Cat Video’ craze, and Susan is adorable – though she does have a bit of an attitude. It should be fun! Here’s the very first intro video with my new kitty, Miss Susan Whiskers, or whatever… What do you think?
Ditto makes it to Stone Town, immediately gets in a fight…
Ditto makes it to Stone Town as an envoy for the Oliphant Queen – but the guard can’t take him to the queen until he fights off some bad guys. I have to say, this is a terrible plan – the guard is afraid to leave his post because of the bad guys are all around, but if he can’t see them then he can leave his post? What if they are hiding, or they just left to get ice cream and they come back while he’s gone? It really is a terrible plan…
Ditto does go through his deck and discusses the best way to fight fire minions, since the Rain of Fire spell does minimal damage on the first hit, which is where the prism conversion kicks in. In a case like this, even though it might take longer to get two Efreet spells out, the damage is much higher due to the prism converting all of the damage to ice.
Pirate101 Springtime Pets Contest – So Cute!!
Ditto has some great codes for Springtime Pets in Pirate101, and these are some of the cutest pets I’ve seen so far! The Yellow Marshadillow, Pink Marshadillow, Batik Eggaloon, Purple Polkaloon, Pink Chocolope and Blue Chocolope are great, fun Pirate pets, and Ditto is giving you a chance to win one!!
Ditto once again talks with Steve Spohn of Able Gamers at PAX East
Last year, while exploring all the many things PAX East had to offer, Ditto came across the AbleGamers booth and was able to talk to Steve Spohn, the Editor-In-Chief of the AbleGamers Foundation, about the amazing work that AbleGamers does, helping disabled kids and veterans to get back into accessible gaming. It was the interview that meant the most to me last year, and so Steve was the first person I checked with once I had my PAX East tickets for this years’ show. AbleGamers was once again hanging out at PAX East (this time with a bunch of Pachinko machines!!) telling people all about the organization and showing off accessible gaming hardware, like an Asteroids game you can play just with your eyes!
Ditto talks to Tony Goodwin of Twisted Pixel about LocoCycle and gets a game demo!
Last year at PAX East 2012, Ditto talked to a great indy company called Twisted Pixel, and their game ‘The Maw’ ended up being Dittos’ favorite new game from the show. This year Twisted Pixel were back, bigger and badder than ever, with an all new game coming soon, called ‘LocoCycle’. It’s a crazy fusion of driving game and fighting game, where you play I.R.I.S the AI Motorcycle AND Pablo the mechanic, who is unwittingly (And Hilariously) dragged along for the ride as I.R.I.S goes haywire.
Ditto Interviews Jared Kasl of Pagoda West Games and talks about ‘Major Magnet’ at PAX East
With all the ‘shock and awe’ of the PAX East expo floor, it’s really nice to find something unxpected among all the noise and flashing lights, and that’s just what Ditto found when he talked to Jared Kasl of Pagoda West Games about their fun and clever platformer, ‘Major Magnet’.
Ditto talks to Tom Eastman from Trinket Studios at PAX East
While hundreds of people went to PAX East to see games like Elder Scrolls Online, One of the games that Ditto was most excited to see was a unique iOS gamed by Trinket Studios called ‘Color Sheep‘. Think of it – you’re a fluffy sheep, Sir Woolston, and you have to save the world from color stealing sheep! OK, Color Sheep is the kind of game Ditto loves! It is cute! It’s fun! It’s a fluffy sheep named Sir Woolston who shoots lasers! I couldn’t ask for better. The soundtrack is cute too, and overall the game is quite addictive. It’s a fast-paced game, but it’s easy to learn and play as you blast your way through each level, taking out the evil wolves as the march across the screen.
Ditto interviews Clutch Play Games, makers of ‘Little Chomp’
At PAX East, Ditto met up with Amy and John of Clutch Play Games, who make a really fun, cute mobile game called ‘Little Chomp’. In the game, you guide a very cute caterpillar through a number of levels by ‘shooting’ him from leaf to leaf, collecting coins and fruit as you go – a game where you get to eat stuff, is there anything better for Ditto? You can use the fruit you collect to feed your other caterpillar friends by ‘flicking’ the fruit at them, and it turns them into butterflies! I like that part a lot! The controls are really simple and the game is very easy to start playing, but the higher levels are definitely a real challenge. (more…)
Ditto Interviews Ichiro Lambe of Dejobaan Games – Monster Loves You
One of the things that Ditto likes to do at PAX East is to find cool new family friendly games among all the crazy stuff. As I was wandering through the crowd, a big green banner caught my eye with the words ‘Monster Loves You’ emblazoned across it. You see, it is VERY hard for a monster to find a good role model in most video games. Sure, there are some friendly monsters who will help you learn to count or tie your shoes, but MOST of the monsters out there are of the ‘under your bed with burning red eyes and long dripping fangs’ variety, and that’s just not fair.
Ditto’s Wrap Up – PAX East 2013 In Pictures!
Well PAX East 2013 has come and gone – my third year at PAX was definitely fun and exciting! We got there before the expo floor even opened, to play pachinko and have a great interview with Steve Spohn of the AbleGamers Foundation. We walked the floor, saw a bunch of the sights – and WOW were there some sights there. Giant robots, wizards, dragons, and of course all kinds of games! And of course there were the people – so many people! Ditto lost count after eleven, I think, but there were WAY more than that!

The Winners of the ‘Where’s Ditto’ Contest!
Here are the winners from Ditto’s ‘Where’s Ditto‘ contest – this was a fun contest to do, and I’ll probably do more of them in the future. Maybe next time I’ll hide in three locations and you’ll need to find all three, something like that.
For this contest, I was hidden in the School of Tempest in Pigswick Academy in Wysteria – I thought it was a good hiding spot! (more…)
Captain Ditto prepares to sail to The Isle of Doooooom!
Captain Ditto talks to the Monquistan outfitter to prepare him for The Isle of Doom! Ditto and his crew then head out to the dreaded island and bring snacks to the Monquistans there – because Ditto likes to help.
Handyman Ditto fixes the Zafarian Queen!
In the last video Ditto was able to get the steamship boiler back, but the captain can’t fix his ship, so once again we have Handyman Ditto to the rescue!! Ditto heads to the library to find book about fixing steamships – see, libraries are awesome! The instructions to fix the boat are really cute.. one of the many fun little touches I love in Wizard101.
Captain Ditto speaks to Bishop Hidalgo and gets a Secret Mission!
Still on his mission to open up diplomatic relationships Monquista, Ditto heads to the cathedral to speak with Bishop Hidalgo there. Ditto learns some of the interesting history of Monquista, and then gets assigned a dangerous secret mission to ‘The Island of Doom’, apparently based at least partially on the plot to ‘Apocalypse Now’… It should be a piece of cake – assuming Ditto survives the deadly snakes, killer bees, poisonous frogs, and whatever else is out there!
Ditto Recovers the boiler for the Jungle Cruise…
Still adventuring in Zafaria, Ditto now needs to get the boiler for the boat so he can go on the jungle cruise and go talk to the elephants… You just can’t make this stuff up, folks. Of course nothing ever goes as planned and Ditto ends up getting into a fight against some fire foes, and doesn’t have a single fire prism – time for some big volcano action! In other news, I have to admit – the T Rex rampaging through the savannah is one of my favorite things ever.
Captain Ditto has an audience with the Monquistan Governor
Captain Ditto has pirated the silk needed by the monquistan tailor and his spiffy new diplomatic outfit is ready! Of course there’s something a little strange about Ditto’s special ‘diplomatic outfit’ – those monquistans may have made a monkey out of him….
Ditto follows the little yellow arrow in Wizard101
It has been over a week since Ditto was able to log into Wizard 101, and I really didn’t remember what I was doing, so I just followed the little yellow arrow and it led me on all kinds of great adventures! That’s a great feature of Wizard 101 – you can’t really get lost. Very helpful for a furry orange monster who can be kind of forgetful sometimes.
Ditto finds a glitch, then continues his diplomatic mission to Puerto Mico!
Coming out of Captain Avery’s office, Ditto is surrounded by a mysterious and impenetrable fog that bars his way…. Actually it’s just a weird game glitch and Ditto is able to fix it by teleporting to the Life Fountain.
Ditto then heads off to continue his diplomatic mission to Puerto Mico – but first he stops to return a mirror to a very strange monkey. That guys’ got some issues, I think.
Ditto’s Video Bloggy Thingy – March 9th 2013
Video Bloggy Thingy – March 9th 2013
Hey everybody – it it the Ditto! OOh, it is already March – isn’t that exciting!! Lots going on with the Ditto, me have been a very busy monster with lots of news – but first me start with the Twitter report. Ditto has 1212 followers now – how cool is that? Well its cool to me – thank you to all of my fans and followers, i really do this for you!
So in game news I have the amazing ‘Pot O’ Gold’ contest running in Wizard 101 – winners get mounts, pets, an amazing house, gold, and crowns! It runs through March 22nd, so Check out dittomonser.com for all the details!
In Pirate101 news Ditto is monkeying around deep in the heart of Moquista! I’m working on some sweet upgrades for my ship, too, like a great new figurehead with new attack power. I’m really loving Pirate 101 and can’t wait to explore more!
And I do have another game I’ve been playing a lot lately – this one is an iOS game called ‘Wake the Cat’ and it’s a very fun, cute little game where your have to solve physics puzzles and, well, wake a cute little kitten. It’s challenging and very fun, so when I’m not on Wizard101 or Pirate101 I’ve been playing that.
And last but definitely not least, PAX East is coming in just two weeks!! DItto has so much going on for PAX East – I’ve got great interviews lined up this year! I’ll be talking to Steve Spohn from Able Gamers, who is always awesome to talk to – Able Gamers does such an awesome job! I’ve also lined up interviews with developers and designers from Trinket Studios, Pagoda West, Clutch Play Games, and more. And the big announcement is that I’ve been able to set up a brief interview with – are you ready? Robert Khoo, the president of Penny Arcade Inc! AAhhhhh!! That is going to be so incredible – Ditto is so excited!!! I’m pretty sure I am the first fuzzy orange monster to interview him…
There will be a few more announcements too, things Ditto is still waiting on confirmation on and that will be just as awesome and exciting!!
Ditto’s March Contest – Where’s Ditto?
So Ditto has a brand new contest running for March, with some pretty AMAZING prizes! The contest is very simple – but it could be pretty tricky, too. To enter the contest, look at the screen shot here and tell me where in the Spiral Ditto is – it’s that easy.
Ditto returns the Mooshu Falcon to Captain Avery!
Ditto has been very busy for the last few days, so I have not been playing the game or updating the website as much as I had hoped. Nothing wrong, just regular real stuff, but it kept me away from the game a bit more than I liked. It’s all good thought.
So for this video, Ditto finally finishes the ‘Mooshu Falcon’ quest by returning the fabled artifact to Captain Avery, and… Well, Captain Avery says thanks. That’s about it. To be honest, Ditto was expecting a bit more from this, but there you go, at least he said thanks.
