Ditto’s Wrap Up – PAX East 2013 In Pictures!
Well PAX East 2013 has come and gone – my third year at PAX was definitely fun and exciting! We got there before the expo floor even opened, to play pachinko and have a great interview with Steve Spohn of the AbleGamers Foundation. We walked the floor, saw a bunch of the sights – and WOW were there some sights there. Giant robots, wizards, dragons, and of course all kinds of games! And of course there were the people – so many people! Ditto lost count after eleven, I think, but there were WAY more than that!
The ‘Big Games’ seemed to be Elder Scrolls Online, Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, and a big Sci-Fi shooter called ‘Firefall’, though there were tons of others, both big and small. I checked out Hearthstone a bit, second hand (couldn’t get too close because of all the people) and it looks fun and, of course, pretty addictive. I’ll more than likely play it when it comes out.
We spent a lot of time looking at the smaller independent games, because that’s really where we saw the fun and interesting family friendly games. There were a lot of mobile games, definitely more than last year, but still a good number of PC and Console offerings too, especially on Steam.
So here are a bunch of pictures of what we saw and did at PAX – there will be a bunch of videos coming this week, too, so stay tuned!!
