April Fools Day at KingsIsle!
OK, so Ditto did not have time to put together anything fun or cool for April Fools (though if you listen to Spiral Radio 101 tonight you’ll hear something from Ditto…. Just saying…) but the fine folks at KingsIsle have outdone themselves with April Foolishness!
Captain Ditto in Mooshu – Heading out to disrupt a wedding!
Captain Ditto, now a Level 43 Swashbuckler, is sailing through Mooshu working on getting a wedding invitation to ‘crash’ a wedding to humiliate General Tso and do some other important stuff…
Here, Ditto’s Yakooza contact Yuji sends Ditto to the Momori stronghold to disrupt the wedding – this should be interesting!
There’s a fight with Tengu Sorcerers too – Ditto and crew make short work of them!
Winners for Dittos’ ‘Five Years of Fun in The Spiral’ contest!!
I got SO MANY great entries in my ‘Five Years in The Spiral‘ contest, with peoples’ favorite Spiral memories – I loved them! From daring boss fights to exciting PVP battles to people’s memories getting their first house or mount of ship, there were so many wonderful memories you shared!! The thing that makes me happiest though, is that were were so many entries where people’s favorite memories were meeting people and making friends, that seems to be a common thread in so many of these stories and it’s really one of the things I like most about The Spiral, too!
It was hard to choose winners with some many great entries – you all make me work really hard with these contests! Without further ado, here are the winners!

Ditto’s full set of Wizard101 Wands!
As a followup to Ditto’s fun Wands tutorial, Ditto just finished up a full set of Wizard101 wands, and Miss Narrator helped me make a nice display case for them, so I wanted to share how cool it all came out!!
Here are all the wands finally finished – Life, Death, Fire, Ice, Storm, Myth, and Balance. I really like how they all came out, especially the Ice and Death wands.

Here is the awesome display case that Miss Narrator helped me make – it’s just a plain wooden tray that we painted back, and Miss Narrator helped me to decoupage the bottom with some fun swirly paper and a Ravenwood banner that I printed out. How col is that – like something right out of Ravenwood school! That would look great in a dorm room!

Greetings and Salutations! So, Ditto has been blogging about his adventures in The Spiral for over five whole years now!! That’s pretty awesome, isn’t it? Ditto has had five years of wizards and pirates and fun adventures, and now it’s time to celebrate with an all new contest!! Looking back at my time in The Spiral there are so many awesome memories, and I want you to share your favorite memories with me! Ditto’s Mega Epic Boss Battle! Mazen Stinger Bee in Wizard101
In Azteca, Ditto is working with the shaman Onyx Rain-Sun to defeat the dreaded Umbra Queen! Ditto has to get through a magical barrier, and – of course – needs to collect special ingredients so that Onyx Rain-Sun can make some magical mojo to get Ditto through the barrier thingy. Enter Mazen Stinger Bee, the fiercest of the seed-thieves, who has in hew possession ‘The Jar of Five Suns’, a power magical vessel that Onyx needs to complete her spell. All Ditto has to do is defeat Mazen – sounds simple right? Not an end boss, and she doesn’t even cheat… but somehow this battle lasted over 45 MINUTES!
Ditto’s ‘Make Your Own Wand’ Tutorial!!
Hi all! So, this is Ditto’s very first ever tutorial post, showing folks how Miss Narrator and I made these really fun Wizard101 – style wands! They don’t take too long to make, and they’re really inexpensive, so they’re a really fun project for a rainy afternoon! For this tutorial we made a Life School wand and a Storm School wand – here they are finished, and below I’ll try to give you all the details you need to try and make your own!

Ditto Battles Seed Thief Minions, and let’s talk about Sun Serpent #wizard101
Ditto is battling some Seed Thief Minions to recover stolen amulets for the Shaman – you know, typical stuff for a Tuesday. It’s a pretty cool fight – I drop some serious damage on these guys!!!
I did want to talk about Sun Serpent – I just got it the other day and so far I’m not sure I’m into it yet… It does a pretty good hit on the main target, follow on hits to other targets aren’t that good, even boosted. It’s not a heavy enough hit to really impact an Azteca boss with 15-20K health, and the side hits don’t really do enough damage to minions, so I’m not sure about it yet… I’m still playing around with it, getting the hang of things – anyone with any good pointers?
Ditto is Back in Azteca! Wizard101
After way too long offline, Ditto is back in Wizard101! Yes, Ditto had a cold for a while and didn’t have a voice, so couldn’t really record videos. Well, I’m back and we’re trekking through Azteca, doing quests on the Zultan docks!! Lots more to come, too – Carl the camera-bear and I did a lot of recording, including a massing 45 minutes boss fight!!
Where is Ditto? Where did he go?
Hello everybody – Ditto the Monster here!! You may notice that Ditt has not posted much in the last couple weeks – sorry about that! It is not a big problem – it’s just that Ditto got a bit of a cold, like a chest cold, and while it wasn’t a big deal, it really gave me problems with my voice, so I have not been able to do much in the way of videos or daring adventures. I tried to record today, but I’m still losing my voice after about 30 seconds of talking and have to hack into the microphone a bit to clear my voice and then I have to take a big drink of tea, etc…, so it’s really not working well for videos, unfortunately.
Ditto isn’t feeling well
So the good news is that Ditto IS feeling better, I really am – my voice just is not fully recovered. I am hoping it is recovered by Tuesday so we can record a fun new ‘Doctor Ditto’ adventure, at least with a minimum of editing or re-dos.
I am still playing games though – not too sick for that! And I’ve been very excited following Crowfall – that seems like a very cool new game and I am very excited to be a part of it! They have done great do far on their kickstarter – I backed it on the first day, so exciting! I’ll be sure to do some gameplay videos as soon as I get my furry hands on it, too!!
So that’s it for now – Ditto felt bad about not having posted in a while but just wanted to let everyone know that it’s all OK, and Ditto will be back posting videos soon!!

Captain Ditto faces down deadly Samoorai in Pirate101
Captain Ditto and crew are doing favors for the Yakooza, and now they need to face down deadly Samoorai! Hey, guess what – Samoorai are TOUGH! Like, REALLY tough. They have these archer guys who seem to fire about a hundred shots per round, they’re crazy fast! Ditto is not a fan…
Captain Ditto joins forces with the Yakooza of Mooshu in Pirate101!
Finally back on the skyways, Captain Ditto and his trusty crew take a barrel to the secret hideout of the Yakooza of Mooshu. So, how did Ditto’s ship and entire crew fit inside one bottle? We don’t need to dwell on such mysteries…
To gain favor with the Yakooza, Captain Ditto must do them three favors, the first of which is to ‘rescue’ some gold from a corrupt government official… Ditto also stops to hang out and see what he can do to help some of the folks in the local village too.
Ditto Investigates Copper Wing Guards in Azteca
Ditto is still battling the copper tops to see if they have been corrupted by the dreaded Umbra Queen! These are pretty cool fights – battling fire enemies is a challenge but it keeps me on my toes!
Gameplay Video – Ditto Plays HearthStone Ranked Play
So Ditto has been playing the Blizzard card game ‘HearthStone’ more lately – it’s a really fun game and you can play a round in ten to twenty minutes if you don’t have a long time for gaming, which is handy.
I’ve been playing my Mage deck lately in ranked play and have made it to rank 18 – that’s not really high, true, but it’s challenging at this level and I’m pretty happy with how it’s going.
This battle is pretty good and shows my deck playing well – I’ll admit, it only plays this well every two to three games… I still need to tweak it a bit.
Ditto Battles Copper Wing Guards in Azteca
For Ditto to uncover what’s going on, Ditto has to defeat some Copper Wing Guards on the Zultun docs to determine if they are the minions of the Umbra Queen!
Of course the guards are Rank 12 Elite fire, which makes them a real pain for me – fire prisms help quite a bit, but make the fights take a bit longer.
Ditto Finishes some Azteca Quests in Wizard101
So Ditto has this carefully crafted plan to store up some completed quests for his video recordings, and then when it was time to record, awesomeness would flow. Well, as you can see, that was a pretty epic failure, as the completed quests don’t actually take up much time or continue on to other cool stuff… so I just pad this one out for time…
Ditto Builds a flying ‘boat’ in Azteca…
So Ditto has been hanging out in Azteca and to get to this spooky island, he needs to build a special magical flying boat. Well once Ditto gathers the magic stuff and captures ‘the three winds’ (which was HARD!) he bangs a drum and makes a magic boat! Of course, to call this a ‘boat’ is stretching things – it’s a log that kind of glows and maybe floats on the winds? It’s terrifying, in any case…
Captain Ditto versus GOLDFISH!!
Captain Ditto and crew are making their way through Mooshu and come across some harmless looking goldfish swimming in the skyway… and things take a rapid turn for the worse! These goldfish are FIERCE!!!
Captain Ditto’s Further Adventures in Mooshu – Lotus Blossom Wreck
Captain Ditto is settling into life in Mooshu and searches a wrecked ship for an Imperial Jade statue… There’s a panda, and a storyline about noodles, and all kinds of cool stuff – it’s really neat!

I know it has been a little while since Ditto has been able to post gameplay videos, sorry about that… Ditto’s mom and dad and other family have been around for the holidays, so I didn’t really have a way to make videos uninterrupted with so many Fabricated Americans (and people) around. I’m back now, though, and after many months trekking through Cool Ranch, Ditto FINALLY recovered Captain Blood’s treasure, which was an impressive ship from Mooshu! Now it appears that the mystery of Marco Pollo’s map deepens, however, and Captain Ditto and his stalwart crew take their newfound ship and sail to mysterious Mooshu to get more information from Egg Fu Yung! Mmmmm, Egg Fu Yung… and crab rangoons… and… oh, never mind, let’s just show the video.
Announcing the ‘Fansite Festival’!!! #Wizard101 #Pirate101
Ditto is very happy to announce that he is taking part in a wonderful, fun event this year, the ‘Fansite Festival‘, which is a great community event hosted by a whole bunch of Wizard101 and Pirate101 fanstites! The festival isn’t for a while (It’s currently scheduled or April) but it’s never too early to start getting excited about a fun event with fans and friends!!

Captain Ditto and Crew start the Tomb of De La Vegas in Pirate101
Once they got the key, Captain Ditto and crew headed back to the De La Vegas mausoleum on Boot Hill so Old Scratch could summon the spirit of Don Rafael! Old Scratch needs some personal belongings of Don Rafael though, and that angers the restless dead!!
It was during the battle with said restless dead that my intrepid camera bear, Carl, informed me that we were running low on battery – and by ‘low’ he actually meant ‘out of battery’, so the battle cuts off… we do eventually win, of course, and it’s a great battle, you’ll just have to take my word for it….
Captain Ditto searches for the De La Vega key! Pirate101
After defeating the Duck of Death, Captain Ditto and his trusty hoodoo master Old Scratch must commune with the spirit of the original El Toro… but the De La Vega crypt is locked, and they have no key. They head back to see the current El Toro, Don Rodrigo, to see if he has the key, and of course he does not – the Frogerales have it on one of their ships! So once again Captain Ditto and crew take to the skyways in fierce ship to ship combat until the key is recovered!!
