Ditto Returns to Avalon!!
It’s been a while, but Digby Hexcrafter is back in Avalon! Ditto has completed WinterTusk, made level 75, got some cool new gear, new spells, and is finally back in Avalon!
Ditto meets with Steward Kay in Caer Lyon, looking for a map of the Weirwood. Of course, Steward Kay isn’t very organized, and can’t really remember where he put the map. So while Steward Kay is searching for the map, he asks Ditto to fight some HobGoblins. Not ‘Why don’t you sit here and have some pie while I find your map’ or even ‘Hey, can you help me find this map?’ – right away it’s ‘hey can you risk life and limb to fight these rank 11 hobgoblins to retrieve my friends armor and shield?’. I think folks in Avalon are rude…
Ditto finishes WinterTusk!
Ditto really wanted to get some more videos in WinterTusk, because it was a GREAT world and the quests and mythology were wonderful, but I’ve had trouble getting time to record videos lately and I really wanted to get through to the end – I was very wrapped up in the story!
I finally beat the Coven and all their naughtiness and once again saved a world in The Spiral, ensuring the great frost giant Ymir remained asleep! What a great story!

Finishing the story was great, but getting there was an amazing ride, too! The Coven wants to awaken Ymir, the frost giant – a VERY big guy – and basically end the world. To stop him, Ditto needed to travel the different realms in WinterTusk and win golden seals, get dragon’s teeth, brew potions, and my favorite – mystically transform into a raven to sneak through a dragon skull gate!!

Overall it was a great, fun time, and a wonderful storyline that was really engaging! If you haven’t done WinterTusk I highly recommend it!!
Ditto in WinterTusk – facing down Ormand the Surly!
Ditto faces down ‘Ormand the Surly’ to get a mythical shovel, and ponders just how someone would get a name like ‘surly’… it turns out he was definitely quite surly!
After that, Ditto brings the pick and the shovel to Kettil and has to break through a big icy barrier wall – so cool! (Get it? cool…) Then for fun, Ditto plays a rousing game of Shock-A-Lock!! It’s probably the easiest game of Shock-A-Lock ever played, I think…
Finally, Ditto talks to Thyra Brightspell, a friend of Grandmother Ravens’, and learns of the dreaded ‘Dragon Gate’…
Ditto introduces Stephen LifeSinger!
As many people know, Ditto has been playing an alt – Stephen LifeSinger, a newbie Life/Myth wizard – isn’t he cute? Alts can be a lot of fun, and it’s really amazing how much different it is playing the game as Life versus Fire – such fun!!
Anyway – I’m not going to record lots with him, but I wanted to do a quick video to introduce him. Any hints or tips folks can give on playing a life wizard? Gear, alternate spells, deck hints? I’d love to hear them!
Ditto in WinterTusk, dueling with Marek The Lean
Ditto is in WinterTusk – I’ve been working on getting through WinterTusk because I know I missed a bunch of good stuff and some spells. Here I’m working towards getting the Golden Seals, and I need to defeat Marek the Lean for his magical pick! It’s a good duel and lots of fun – I like going back through and doing the WinterTusk quests!
Sorry if the video is kind of dark – it was a very dark day and even with the lights on it seems kind of dark.
Ditto’s Furry Look Back at 2013!!
So 2013 has come to a close, and 2014 has started – on a Wednesday. Camels around the world must be THRILLED about that… Ditto had a REALLY good 2013, and was so happy to share it all with my awesome fans, friends, and followers! So how did Ditto do in 2013?
Ditto high above the PAX Floor – so many people!
Just looking at the numbers, pretty great! Ditto posted 131 new posts, with 121 pictures and 108 videos posted throughout the year!! There were also 18 contests – that’s nearly 2 a month! That’s a lot of blogging for one furry monster, that’s for sure, and people appreciated it – Ditto had over 57,000 visitors here in 2013!! That’s more people than would fit in Fenway Park or Yankee Stadium! Wow! (more…)
Ditto’s ‘Make a Difference in December’ Contest Winners!!
I tried something very different for my December contest, and I’ll admit – I was a little worried that folks wouldn’t be into it. I shouldn’t have worried though, because Ditto’s fans are awesome! The response I got from this contest was almost overwhelming, and I am so happy with all the wonderful letters and drawings that people sent in, thank you SO MUCH! Chip, Greenly and I are printing the letters out and getting them ready for Operation Gratitude, and we’ll send them out on Monday.

Ditto Heads to Avalon Part 2 – Morganthe Strikes!!
Ditto completes his quest in Mooshu and heads back to Wizard City to Headmaster Ambrose. As they’re having a little chat, the whole building shakes and Morganthe appears! To once again save The Spiral, Ditto finally gets the key to Avalon!!
Ditto’s Video Bloggy Thingy (a few days late)
So I recorded this and put it up over the weekend, but for some odd reason it never posted publicly. Weird.

Hello everybody, it is the Ditto, and it’s time for another Video Bloggy Thingy! Sorry it’s been so long, but Ditto has been having so much fun in-game, sometimes he forgets to do these…
So to start off, the Twitter report – Ditto is up to 1675 followers! Wow! Ditto also has 1,195 YouTube subscribers, and 1,282 followers on Facebook – that is so cool!! Thanks everyone who follows Ditto, it makes a furry orange monster very happy!!
For games, Ditto has been playing a lot of both Pirate101 and Wizard101 lately! For Pirate101, Ditto finished his first set of Valencia quests and is now in Cool Ranch – All I Can think of is doritos now. Mmmm. For Wizard101, I’m doing well in Avalon, but it is VERY hard – lots of huge boss fights and very challenging battles! My third battle was against a huge dragon – it was so tough!!
In order to build myself up a bit more, Ditto actually took a bit of a break and headed to WinterTusk – I hadn’t finished that yet, and it seems like there’s a few spells that I missed, so I’m going back and re-doing that. It’s fun to go back to do older content – after spending time in Avalon, Wintertusk is much less stressful!!
Outside the game, Ditto and Miss Narrator are working on ‘Spiral Wars’ for Spiral Radio 101 – it’s a fun project and we hope people are enjoying it as much as we are. We’re planning something special coming up, too. Stay tuned for that.
And while Ditto did not have any contests in November, December will be a very different story – I’ll have some pretty great stuff coming up, with lots of prizes, so stay tuned for that!

Wizard101 Contest – Make a Difference in December!
It’s December in The Spiral, and that means more contests, presents, prizes, and fun!! December is such a fun month for so many reasons, and it’s definitely one of Ditto’s favorite times of year! I get to be with family and friends and enjoy their company and friendship and great food, sparkly lights, and bright wrapping paper! It’s just great! I love brightly colored wrapping paper 🙂
During the holidays, Ditto also thinks a lot about people who can’t be with their family and friends, like military folks who are out on deployment. For this December contest, I want folks to write a letter or draw a picture for a deployed US military person. At then end of the contest I’ll print your letters out and get them all sent to military members via ‘Operation Gratitude‘, a great organization that sends letters to deployed military all around the world.
New Video – Ditto Heads to Avalon – Part 1 – The Jade Palace #wizard101
So Ditto has defeated Morganthe’s minions and completed Zafaria, so it’s time to head over to see old Headmaster Ambrose. Ambrose says we must get to Merle’s home world, Avalon, and the council of light… but apparently to ‘learn’ about all this, Ditto has to get beat up a lot, starting with the fierce Jade Oni… a really big fight. I hope all this stuff I’m learning is worth it…
Ditto and Friends face Mirror Lake – Part 5 – The big finale!!!
Ditto and friends Destiny Shadowheart, Duncan Stormthief, and Lindsey Goldengrove finally face Morganthe… sort of. She gives her big epic villain speech about how awesome she is, blah blah blah, and then attacks us with four big storm spiders and makes her escape!
The storm spiders are quite a handful, but the team makes short work of them – but not before Morganthe does some spooky spell and the pace starts falling down around us! I guess it’s back to Headmaster Ambrose for this one.

Ditto and Friends Face Mirror Lake – Part 3
Oh what a battle!! Ditto continues his massive Mirror Lake battle, with Destiny Shadowheart, Duncan Stormthief, and Lindsey Goldengrove lending a hand! They are doing battle with four spirit warriors, each carrying one of the sacred weapons of the tribes of Zafaria! The team gets to work against the deadly foes, but it’s a long and dangerous fight — one of the most intense battles Ditto has ever been in!!
Ditto and Friends Face Mirror Lake – Part 2
Ditto enters Mirror Lake with Destiny Shadowheart, Duncan Stormthief, and Lindsey Goldengrove, and meet face to face with Morganthe herself! She escapes, but not before she attacks Ditto and friends with four spirit warriors, each carrying one of the sacred weapons of the tribes of Zafaria!
The team gets to work against the deadly foes, but it’s a long and dangerous fight – one of the most intense battles Ditto has ever been in!!
This is just part 1 of the fight – I had to split it up, because the full battle was almost a half hour! It’s worth it though – what a fight! Seeing this team in action is quite impressive, to be sure!
Ditto plays the drums in the Elephant Graveyard!
Ditto places the sacred drums for the elephant queen so her ghostly minions can help her beat the evil Umbra Queen, but then I get trapped by some bad guys and I have to fight my way out!
Ditto Enters the Elephant Graveyard
Ditto gets the mystical eye key thingy and opens the gates to the amazing Elephant Graveyard. He meets the ghostly elephant queen and, of course, she needs his help. And – of course – it’s spiders. Why does it always have to be spiders?
I LOVE the spooky design of the Elephant Graveyard, it’s got a great atmosphere! I really like the Zafaria storyline, too – I’m glad I found all the missing students and the elephant prince!

So for Halloween Ditto asked everyone to imagine what their favorite Wizard101 teacher or character would dress up as – Cyrus Drake as a clown (oooh, scary!) or Moolinda Wu as a vampire? Well, I got a LOT of great entries, as always, and I’ve chosen all the winners by random draw (thanks Random.org) and awarded some great prizes. Here are the winners who supplied their wizard names, along with their fun costume ideas, in no particular order… (If you did not supply your wizard name you were still eligible to win, and many of you did, but if you didn’t send me your wizard name I didn’t have a name to credit your entry to, so I couldn’t add them here…)
Ditto in the Drum Jungle battling Ogun Daggertooth
Ditto is making his way through the Drum Jungle in Zafaria, looking for Ogun Daggertooth… He sounds like a swell guy, I’m sure we’ll be great friends.
Actually this is a really good battle, and Ogun turned out to be a good challenge – I like challenging fights, they help hone my skills.
Ditto does the Dworgyn Halloween quest in Wizard101 – Part 2
Here it is – the next exiting part of Ditto doing Dworgyn’s Halloween quest. Ditto faces blood bats – that cast blood bats, weird – and then Ditto faces Vampire Veggies!! Cursed Cucumbers!! Evil Asparagus!! (Well, Asparagus is always evil) in this fun and cute quest!
Ditto does Dworgyn’s Halloween quest – Part 1!!
As part of Wizard101’s awesome new Halloween quests, Dworgyn is reporting some spooky dealings in the Haunted Cave – even spookier than usual! Apparently, there are reports of – get this – menacing haunted vegetables! Sounds like a job for Ditto!! It is nice to wander through my old Wizard City stomping grounds again and take on a fun new quest – Ditto has a great time with this one, and once again breaks out his favorite spell – Meteor Strike!!!
Ditto’s Wizard101 Costume Confusion Contest!
So it is contest time again, and it’s also Ditto’s favorite time of year – Halloween is a favorite for most monsters that I know, it’s the best! To celebrate, Ditto wants to help the Wizard101 teachers find their costumes – and I need your help!!
What should Professor Falmea dress as? Remember – it can’t be flammable! How should Moolinda Wu dress up? Would Professor Drake dress as something scary, or funny? What do you think? Ditto kicks off halloween in Wizard101 with a new outfit!!
Ditto is back in-game!! Sure it’s been a while – long story, not terribly exciting – and it’s time for Halloween in The Spiral!!! Ditto wants to start his Spiral Halloween fun off right by finding an awesome, spooky new outfit to play in – so this is Ditto’s search for the perfect Halloween outfit that matches his cute new Vampire pet! After he’s got his outfit, he’ll start doing the fun and awesome Halloween quests, starting with Dworgyn, so stay tuned!!
