Wizard101 Contest – Make a Difference in December!
It’s December in The Spiral, and that means more contests, presents, prizes, and fun!! December is such a fun month for so many reasons, and it’s definitely one of Ditto’s favorite times of year! I get to be with family and friends and enjoy their company and friendship and great food, sparkly lights, and bright wrapping paper! It’s just great! I love brightly colored wrapping paper 🙂
During the holidays, Ditto also thinks a lot about people who can’t be with their family and friends, like military folks who are out on deployment. For this December contest, I want folks to write a letter or draw a picture for a deployed US military person. At then end of the contest I’ll print your letters out and get them all sent to military members via ‘Operation Gratitude‘, a great organization that sends letters to deployed military all around the world.
So what are the prizes? Furniture and crowns!! All the winners will receive a code for ‘Azteca Furniture Set 2’ and a code for a random amount of crowns, from 750 to 15,000!!
So what should you write? Well, keep your message upbeat and positive, be thankful– share a little bit of yourself, talk about your wizard’s adventures, tell a funny (clean) joke, and feel free to ask questions; however, do not discuss sensitive topics – it’s all about appreciation and respect and making someone happy who may be far away from home and family – when you’re writing it, ask yourself: Will this letter bring a smile to someones face? Do not include your real name, only your wizard name.
You can type out a letter, you can hand write it and scan it in, or you can draw a nice friendly picture. Send your letter or picture to dittocontest@gmail.com between today and Friday, December 13th at midnight EST, and use a subject of ‘December Contest’. As always, make sure you include your wizard name. If you are under 13, please make sure you have permission from a parent or guardian too.
These letters will be going to American soldiers – if you’re not from the USA or you do not wish to write a letter to a deployed US Soldier, you can still enter the contest – just send an email and include your wizard name and no letter, and you’ll still be entered into the contest, that’s fine. All winners will be chosen by random draw on Saturday December 14th and announced on this website some time that weekend. After that, I’ll print all the letters out and send them out the following week, so that they get to the soldiers soon and put a smile on their faces. If I get responses from the soldiers I’ll post them here, too – I think that would be great.
What I’m trying to do here is combine two of my favorite things – Wizard101 and making people happy. I’m not making any kind of statement and I hope that my fans take this for what it is and write some great letters to make people smile. Also, this is all Ditto’s idea and not Wizard101’s or KingsIsles’, so if anyone doesn’t like this contest for some reason, please email me and not them.
As always, have fun with this contest, good luck, and play safe!!
Ditto
