Ditto faces Bristleclaw in an epic boss battle!
I made short work of the bats and found a creepy cave that was the home of Bristleclaw, a huge Rank 10 boss with an annoying fire minion. This was a very hard fight, and I was very close to defeat before I was able to deliver the awesome killing blow and knock Bristleclaw senseless…. This was an awesome fight, actually, and I’m happy with the video…
Ditto is attacked by bats!!
So I was just minding my own business, wandering around The Floating Land looking for some guy named Bristleclaw, when these bats attacked me! And they were not very nice, either – they were mean bats, with big tongues. Nothing some pyromancer’s magic couldn’t fix, however…
Ditto is back on dry land! But… It’s floating?
So after finishing up in the Stellarium and getting the amazing ‘Star of Celestia’, I was given a new task, to get some spare parts for one of the submarines. A simple task, one might think, do I was amazed and astounded to follow the path to find the spare parts, and suddenly find myself staring up into a hot tropical sun! I arrived on ‘The Floating Land’, the surface portion of the Marleybone expedition, and I have a feeling I will be here for a while. At least my fur will dry…
Ditto Installs the Star of Celestia
After a very long battle with Selwyn, Ditto has finally recovered the ‘Star of Celestia’ and returns to base camp to install the star into the great Celestian Astrolabe artifact. Once that’s complete, Ditto gets an invitation to head to the surface to get parts for the submarine.
Ditto and Mark Swiftgem versus Selwyn the alien guy
So I finally made it into the final chamber in the Stellarium and had to face Selwyn, this creepy alien guy. I’m not sure if he’s so angry because his name is Selwyn, or because he ruined the last Indiana Jones movie, but he definitely did not want to let me have the Star of Celestia! This is a very long fight, but a good one, and it was a lot of fun!
Ditto solves the puzzle of the ‘Energy Shroud’ in the Stellarium
After we defeated Unamatus, he told us that the only way to gain access to the Star of Celestia was to solve an ‘impossible’ puzzle to unlock some kind of energy shroud. Well, I was worried, because it sounded like a very hard puzzle and Ditto isn’t usually very good at puzzles, but once I got there it was pretty clear that Unamatus was just cranky because we beat him… this puzzle wasn’t nearly as hard as he said it would be.
Unamatus Take Two, with help from Mark Swiftgem
So after my previous, terribly unsuccessful attempt at defeating the Celestian guardian Unamatus, Mark Swiftgem appeared as if by magic (Get it? Because he’s a wizard and teleported in? Well, I thought it was clever) He helped out and together we were able to take out Unamatus and his minion without too much trouble. It was still a thrilling fight, and I do believe I’m going to be looking for a lot more help to get through the rest of Celestia…
Ditto enters The Stellarium… and learns a valuable lesson.
After getting the key to the Stellarium pedestal I was able to enter the Stellarium to search for the Star of Celestia. As I searched, I had to face Unamatus, a guardian robot, along with one of his protectors, who was a star school minion. Well, it turns out that Star school seems to have similar resistances as fire school – something I was sadly unaware of. My plan for the duel was thwarted pretty effectively, since I had no fire prisms, and even though I learned a valuable lesson, I lost the battle. I would be much better prepared the next time, though.
Ditto talks about SOPA and PIPA, what is it all about?
Hi everybody, It’s Ditto. So a lot of people are talking about this SOPA and PIPA thing today, there are a lot of websites that are blacked out because of it, and it’s all over the news. Ditto is not really a political monster, so me doesn’t get into things like this much, but I will say a little bit about it, because it could affect me and everyone else who runs a website or uses the internet.
Ditto versus Brutus Starkwave for the Stellarium key!
Ditto faces the evil shark boss Brutus Starkwave, searching for the key to the Stellarium pedestal. The fight is a decent one, but nothing Ditto and Madame Jasmine can’t handle. I had an extremely inopportune fizzle for my first big Fire Dragon spell, which allowed Brutus to cast a fire shield and block the majority of my initial assault, but my first big Fire Dragon hit in a boss fight is always designed to clear out the minions and weaken the boss, which I was still able to do.
Next stop – The Stellarium and the Heart of Celestia!!
Ditto finds the Stellarium pedestal, but doesn’t have a key….
After all the battles and exploration, Ditto finally finds the Stellarium Pedestal, which should allow him access into the deepest depths of the District of Stars… but of course, he needs a key. Nobody leaves their ancient mystical artifacts unlocked any more… obviously this will require further investigation, and probably a big battle of some sort…
Ditto Fixes a Robot Thingy in the District of Stars
So I fought a bunch of fish and sharks, lots and lots of them, and finally found a small shiny gear. I brought that gear to Thule Landshaper, a cool looking Celestian robot thingy, and helped fix him. He was very thankful – I like him, he seems really nice. I then did a little investigation around the Chantry and found a cool mosaic to tell Thornton about – I’m sure there will be lots more to do regarding that!
Ditto doing the Thornton quests in District of the Stars
Once again, after gathering valuable information for Thornton over in the District of the Stars, he needs me to fight MORE sharks and gather even more information… you might think the man was rooted to the spot! Anyway, after I get several new quests, I head over to copy a very interesting map of the spiral, with worlds listed that I’ve never heard of yet… (more…)
Ditto versus Evil Shark Thingys, plus a sort of blooper…
I’ve got another video I was preparing for today, I’ll post that later, but I realized that this one never got posted, and it sort of has a blooper in it, and it’s a good fight, so I wanted to post it. Enjoy!!
Ditto meets ‘The Archivist’ in Celestia
So I am still adventuring in Celestia, and in this video I meet the incredible ‘Archivist’, a talking computer librarian of sorts who teaches about Celestian history and magic! This is another incredibly designed area, with great big set pieces that really convey the technology, magic, and culture of Celestia! I just love the concept of The Archivist, too – though later on she starts sending me on some curious (and potentially dangerous) errands…
Ditto battles Piscean warriors!
I’m in the District of the Stars, doing quests, and it seems the majority of these quests involve dueling these monster shark warriors, the Pisceans. I guess it’s good that I like how they look, because I’ve been looking at them for DAYS now! Anyway, I had to defeat a bunch for this cool Celestian robot-guy, Thule Landshaper, and here is my final battle. (more…)
More Fabricated Americans! Yay! Hello Metoo and Brittany!
So yesterday, the awesome Friendly Necromancer posted a video that was sent to him, that was made by two very nice Fabricated Americans, Metoo (who is shy) and Brittany Bell (Who is definitely not shy). They are big fans of Wizard 101 (where DID they get those posters in the background? I want one!!!) and they are also big fans of Ditto and Miss Narrator! I just wanted to say hello and thank them for such a great video, and it is just so wonderful to meet other Fabricated Americans, especially Fabricated Americans who play Wizard 101! Ditto is very excited! I just wanted to post a quick video saying hello, it’s very nice to meet them, and thank you for the great video! And thank you Friendly for posting it!!
Play Safe, see you in The Spiral!!
PLOX!
Happy New Year from Ditto!!
It is New Year’s Eve, and Ditto would like to do some of those classic traditional New Year’s Even thingys, so here I go – my ‘2011’ top 10 list and my New Year’s resolutions…
Ditto battles Shark Warriors!
After passing through the Stargate into the District of the Stars, Ditto finds a whole bunch of very scary shark warriors protecting this big broken obelisk. Of course what’s the first thing Ditto does? Attack the big scary shark warriors! They put up a good fight, but with a hit from a great big Fire Dragon and I was just looking for fries to go with the fish sticks…
Celestia really is amazing, I’m definitely enjoying it! I love the designs and these shark warriors are really scary and intimidating, some of the coolest adversaries I’ve ever seen! I can’t wait to get even deeper into Celestia, I want to see how the rest of this story plays out!!
Adventures in Celestia – Ditto finds the Stargate!
After finishing up in The Grotto, Ditto finally has all the pieces to the Stargate – also known as the mystical portal thingy. He turns the pieces in to the Marleybone engineer, and for some reason, the engineer needs Ditto to fix the portal! What? Ditto is apparently now not only a highly skilled wizard, but also versed in Celestian engineering? It just goes to show that Ravenwood is an excellent education!
Ditto’s Video Bloggy Thingy: Comment Bullys
Hi Everybody – Ditto here, and for this week’s video bloggy thingy I wanted to talk about something I call ‘Bullying by commenting’.
Ditto reads ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas’
Hey everybody, Ditto here! I wanted to do something a little different and special for Christmas, so I decided to read you the classic ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas’ poem. Clement Clarke Moore wrote the poem ‘Twas the night before Christmas’ in 1822!! I hope you enjoy it, and no matter what you celebrate this time of year – Christmas, Solstice, Chanukah, Kwanza, or anything else that brings you joy and happiness!
And this just happens to be my 300th video, too!! Wow!
Ditto’s Video Bloggy Thingy – December 17th, 2011
Hi everybody, it is the Ditto, and it is an all new video bloggy thingy! I know me has been away for a while, a lot longer than usual – sorry about dat. (more…)
Finding Scrap Metal in Celestia
So I was exploring in Celestia, and this engineer person needed my help urgently – it seems she required scrap metal, I think maybe to build a statue of me… which totally makes sense if you look at how much I’ve already done in Celestia… anyway, I love these fun little side quests that encourage exploration and appreciation of these wonderful environments without huge fights every twelve seconds…
What do you think – combat is fun and rather awesome, but sometimes I like a nice relaxing kind of stroll through the place looking for stuff.
