New Video – Ditto Defeats Tech Glitch Boss!!
Ditto is very happy – today started with a nearly crushing defeat, but then out of the jaws of major technical issues, Ditto pulled a stunning victory!
It started this morning when I had a few hours to stream some games on Twitch, and was in a great place in-game for both Wizard101 and Pirate101, so I’d be able to get some nice fun streaming in. Of course as soon as I tried to do this, I had major technical issues with Open Broadcaster, the software I use to stream; it couldn’t find the game window and just showed a black screen. I tried everything, but nothing worked, and I just about gave up. I felt bad, though, since I know more people are having fun watching me stream, so I looked around to try to find a good solution – before long it looks like I found a GREAT one.
Open Broadcaster has always given me issues streaming – usually the problems were related to dropped connections and lag, and no matter what I tried I couldn’t fix it. The screen issues this morning were the last straw, so I looked at other software options – that’s where I found FFSplit. It’s free to download, it’s very lightweight when running (much more lightweight than OBS) and it was very easy to set up – I was up and streaming on Twitch in under 10 minutes! And the best part – I streamed for over an hour straight with zero hiccups, no lag, and no dropped connections!! So here’s my first stream with FFSplit, and It is my single longest video ever!!
You can just skip the first 2 minutes or so – I’m trying to determine if I’m really streaming and how the quality is with the new software…
