Captain Ditto’s Talk Like a Pirate Contest in Pirate101!!

Yarr there me harties, it be Captain Ditto again with a new bit o’ pirate treasure just in time for ‘Talk Like a Pirate’ day!  That’s right, good old Captain Ditto has barrels of booty, piles of plunder, dozens of doubloons… Well, you get the picture – and it’s all out there for the takin’!  What is this mythical treasure, you might ask?  Well I’ll tell ya!  There be three prize levels up fer grabs…

Grand Prize (1 winner):  A Huge Pile of  Treasure (housing item), Pirate’s Hairstyle, and 10,000 crowns!!

Second Place (5 Winners):  Pirate’s Hairstyle and 5,000 crowns

Third Place (10 winners):  2,000 crowns.

That’s a lot of great prizes, but how do you win them?  Well, Captain Ditto’s in the mood to tell a tale, spin a yarn o’er the flowing aether… and he’s asking you to help.  You see, Captain Ditto and his crew of scurvy dogs was followin’ a treasure map they found in a box o’ breakfast cereal, and sailed their way into a spooky hidden cove surrounded by dark jungles and ancient stone ruins.  As they sailed slowly in, eyes peeled for danger, their ship was rocked by an attack from below, and Ditto and his crew suddenly found themselves face to face with…   something terrifying!  But what was it?

That’s your mission and your key to entering the contest – tell me what kind of sea beastie was protecting that treasure and did set upon Captin Ditto’s ship!  Tell me the name, give me a description of the creature, tell me how it attacks – draw me a picture if you’re artistically inclined!   Send me an email at dittopirate@gmail.com with the creatures’ name and details, your pirate name (important!) and the subject ‘Captain Ditto’s Monster’ between now and Saturday, September 27th at Midnight EST – Miss Narrator and I will choose our favorite creatures as the grand prize winner and the five second place prize winners, and the ten third prize winners will all be chosen by random draw.  All winners will be chosen and announced on Sunday, September 28th, with winners notified by email.

So what am I looking for?  Something fun and creative and unusual!  Don’t tell me about ‘The Kraken’ or a giant squid- those are common and we’ve seen those all over the place.  I want to see something new and clever and fun – silly is OK too, because Ditto likes silly!  Pictures are encouraged but not required – you can definitely win without a picture, but a picture might get your point across better if you’re not as good with creative writing, so I’m happy with either or both.  Do your best, and I’m really excited to see what you come up with!!

As always, only one entry per person please, let’s keep it fair, and if you send me an entry and realize you missed a part, like you didn’t include your pirate name, that’s fine, send me the update and I’ll remove the first one, no big deal…
