Ditto Gets Fire Dragon! Mavra Flamewing defeated!
After my somewhat humiliating defeat at the hands of Mavra Flamewing, I got a lot of great advice, so I re-tooled my deck and went toe to toe with Mavra and her pain-in-the-pox minions again, and this time defeated her easily!
Many people said that I should focus on Mavra first, since she’s the only opponent who can cast damage spells, and that’s a very smart strategy, true. However, my strategy was to cast Scald spells, which do a nice level of damage over time as well as clearing out all fire traps. The side effect of this strategy was that the pox minions were taken out in just a few turns, and I went toe to toe with Mavra herself with some damage buffs and a Helephant. Game Over.
For my deck, I removed all fire shields and prisms and updated it with helephants and scald spells, then updated my treasure cards with some earthquakes – just in case. I never needed them, thankfully.
Lol, I like how you say”Yay” when you won a battle! I try to immitate it, but its impossible. Congratulations on Fire Dragon

Good job on beating her, but I have a question. Why did you solo her?

I play a lot solo when I’m doing things for the website – it helps me to understand strategy and tactics if I’m focused on my opponent one on one.

Glad to hear it Ditto. I had trouble with those pox too. As a life student, I didn’t have an attack all spell at that time, so there was no real “good plan” that didn’t involve help.

Oh man, I remember fighting her. I started at 9:00 and ended at 11:00. It took me forever to beat her.

I hated her both times as I am fire as well, but the fire dragon is so worth it. I always have one, except against fire bosses because i dont want to stack prisms.
