After fighting 437 crystal spiders to get the spinnerets needed for making my crystal staff, I have yet another quest to continue on the path to Malistaire!  At this point, I think she could tell me I need to defeat the Dragon Titan himself, using only a spoon and some twine, and I would grateful for it, simply because there are no spiders involved…

So after defeating about a hundred spiders for little miss ‘I can’t be disturbed’, she decides that she STILL can’t work in her shop, and we need to relocate to a tower in the middle of the spider-infested Crystal Grove.  Ah well – it’s not too far to travel.  Of course once we get there, I have to help her get more equipment so she can work, and what’s the FIRST thing I need to get for her?  Read the rest of this page »

So I was wandering around DragonSpyre, looking for a crystal headpiece for my snazzy Dragon Rider’s staff, when I came across Milaka Jewlbender, a jeweler and crystal crafter, who happened to be trapped in an actual bock of crystal.  This did not instill a lot of confidence in her skills-  kind of like finding out your mechanic was late for work because his car broke down…  Anyway, since she was the only person around who might be able to help me, I helped her out of her predicament, and in return she… sent me to kill crystal spiders…  Sigh. Along the path to the dreaded Malistaire, I have met many strange and interesting beings.  Most have wanted to eat me, of course, but there are some who are happy to help me out – though usually for a price.  In searching for the perfect crystal head to my Dragon Rider’s staff, I came across a person I will simply call ‘Creepy prospector guy’, who was camping in the Crystal Grove in the middle of a bunch of spiders.  Of course he wants me to find HIS pet spider… you know how I am about spiders so… creepy guy!!
