Captain Ditto spies somethin’ new on the horizon!!
Ahoy there maties – and what do we have here? It looks like there’s something new out on the Pirate101 horizon, and Captain Ditto has caught himself a look in his trusty old spyglass! Of course Dittos’ spyglass, much like his ship, really isn’t in the best shape, so all I can share is a few small glimpses of the excitement that’s to come! Don’t worry, though – cast a weather-eye out to the other Pirate101 Fansites, as I’m sure the other Captains out there will have their lookouts up in the crows’ nest, searching for more glimpses of what’s new out there on the aether… And keep checking back with good old’ Captain Ditto, too, because I’ve definitely more excitement and adventure coming soon….
Captain Ditto heads deep into the Dark Jungle of DOOOOOM…
Ditto has completed the dreaded tomb of Doooom, and he talks to the Monquistan foreman about how to move further on his epic quest through the Island of Doooom…. he goes into the jungle to find a monquistan campsite in the Dark Jungle, but it is destroyed and deserted!! Where did everyone go? Another mystery to solve on this quest of… DOOOOOM!
Captain Ditto fights Haku in the Ancient Tomb of DOOOOOOM!
Ditto is on The Island of Doom and, to get help from the Monquistans there, he has to help them with their little ‘pest control’ problem – namely Haku, a Water Mole leader, who has the whole Water Mole population in an uprising against the Monquistans.
Ditto searches through the dark and scary tomb to find the dreaded Haku, and a massive fight ensues! But just when Ditto’s team finally defeats Haku, thinking the battle is won, something even WORSE attacks out of the shadows! Ditto and his crew are in a monster-movie fight for their life deep in the Ancient Tomb of DOOOOOOOM….

Sometimes it is hard for Ditto to come up with fun and interesting contests, but this one is probably going to wind up being one of Ditto’s favorites – though it was definitely one of the hardest to judge!! Here are the winning images, congratulations to the winners and thanks everyone who entered!!! This was a lot of fun!
- Fearless Connor Carter
- Wicked Esmeralda Nightingale

Pirate101 Springtime Pets Contest – So Cute!!
Ditto has some great codes for Springtime Pets in Pirate101, and these are some of the cutest pets I’ve seen so far! The Yellow Marshadillow, Pink Marshadillow, Batik Eggaloon, Purple Polkaloon, Pink Chocolope and Blue Chocolope are great, fun Pirate pets, and Ditto is giving you a chance to win one!!
Captain Ditto prepares to sail to The Isle of Doooooom!
Captain Ditto talks to the Monquistan outfitter to prepare him for The Isle of Doom! Ditto and his crew then head out to the dreaded island and bring snacks to the Monquistans there – because Ditto likes to help.
Captain Ditto speaks to Bishop Hidalgo and gets a Secret Mission!
Still on his mission to open up diplomatic relationships Monquista, Ditto heads to the cathedral to speak with Bishop Hidalgo there. Ditto learns some of the interesting history of Monquista, and then gets assigned a dangerous secret mission to ‘The Island of Doom’, apparently based at least partially on the plot to ‘Apocalypse Now’… It should be a piece of cake – assuming Ditto survives the deadly snakes, killer bees, poisonous frogs, and whatever else is out there!
Captain Ditto has an audience with the Monquistan Governor
Captain Ditto has pirated the silk needed by the monquistan tailor and his spiffy new diplomatic outfit is ready! Of course there’s something a little strange about Ditto’s special ‘diplomatic outfit’ – those monquistans may have made a monkey out of him….
Ditto finds a glitch, then continues his diplomatic mission to Puerto Mico!
Coming out of Captain Avery’s office, Ditto is surrounded by a mysterious and impenetrable fog that bars his way…. Actually it’s just a weird game glitch and Ditto is able to fix it by teleporting to the Life Fountain.
Ditto then heads off to continue his diplomatic mission to Puerto Mico – but first he stops to return a mirror to a very strange monkey. That guys’ got some issues, I think.
Ditto returns the Mooshu Falcon to Captain Avery!
Ditto has been very busy for the last few days, so I have not been playing the game or updating the website as much as I had hoped. Nothing wrong, just regular real stuff, but it kept me away from the game a bit more than I liked. It’s all good thought.
So for this video, Ditto finally finishes the ‘Mooshu Falcon’ quest by returning the fabled artifact to Captain Avery, and… Well, Captain Avery says thanks. That’s about it. To be honest, Ditto was expecting a bit more from this, but there you go, at least he said thanks.
Captain Ditto in Ship to Ship combat with House Guzman!
In order to impress the MajorDomo in Puerto Mico, Captain Ditto and crew need to get down to some genuine pirating, attacking House Guzman ships and taking the silk that master monkey tailor Bernardo Sarstre needs to make Ditto’s special diplomatic suit! The combat is fierce as Captain Ditto and crew board the Guzman ship, incapacitate the crew, and plunder the booty!
Captain Ditto heads to Sunny Puerto Mico!
Captain Avery wants Ditto has to head out to sunny Puerto Mico, trying to set up trade with those wily Monquistans. The Monquistan Major Domo isn’t particularly receptive to pirates, however! Can Ditto and his crew use their skills and ‘diplomacy’ to get the job done?
Well that all wrapped up nicely…
Captain Ditto and his trusty crew head to The Golden Finn tavern and talk to Captain Cutter about all they discovered about his untrustworthy first mate. After that, Captain Ditto heads down to the Tavern basement to talk to Ratbeard about his ghostly problems – and buy him some yum. After a long heart to heart, Ratbeard feels lots better and even levels up!!
Captain Ditto Investigates in Flotsam
Captain Cutter has some concerns about his First Mate, and Captain Ditto trails the scoundrel to Flotsam, where he catches him making nefarious plans with some wharf rats! Of course, Ditto and crew need to fight their way out of a dangerous situation to get news back to Captain Cutter!
Captain Ditto faces the Ghosts of Ratbeard’s Past!
Now that Ratbeard has joined Ditto’s crew, Captain Ditto talks to One Eye’d Jack about some of Ratbeard’s missing property, including his sword, Jack tells them it was hidden away nearby for safe keeping.
Once Ditto and Ratbeard collect the missing sword, however, the ghosts of Ratbeard’s past catch up with him – literally. The ghosts of Ratbeard’s former crew surround Ditto and Ratbeard, and they must face down the ghosts and fight their way out of the supernatural encounter!
This is a great quest line and I’m very glad Ratbeard didn’t have anything to do with his crew’s unfortunate demise! I can’t wait to see what happens next!!
Ditto’s Video Bloggy Thingy Feb 1st, 2013
Hello, it is the Ditto with another Video Bloggy thingy!! Ditto has been a busy monster this week, oh boy!! But before me get into all that, I’ll start like I usually do – the Twitter report! (more…)
Annoucing Ditto’s Tribal Crew Pack Contest Winners!!
Thank you everyone who entered Ditto’s Tribal Crew Pack contest! I had TONS of great entries, and it was so much fun reading through them all! As usual, I have chosen the winners randomly (using Random.org) and have already alerted them by email. Congratulations to all the winners, and definitely stay tuned to Dittomonster.com for my next fun contest, which will be starting very soon!!
The Winners: (Each got a code for 5 Tribal Crew Packs in Pirate101!)
- Humble Amanda Nightingale – My favorite companion is Bonnie Anne. I love her attacks on every foe; it’s so helpful!
- Dreaming Kevin Morgan – My favourite companion is Lieutenant Otter Emmet Ensign.
- Cunning Aedan Morgan -My favorite has to be between Subodai and the Mustang Toreador from the Cool Ranch Side Quest.
- Salty Padric Otway – My favorite companion is Don Hernando Chavez, because it is so much fun to say “I have a monkey monk!”
-
Brave Alex Richmond – Well most of my companions are terrible as you can see from the picture above. But my favorite companion would have to be Bill O’leary, my Cat Pirate from the Boochbeard Bundle! He is very strong and keeps getting stronger as I train him! He is so helpful in battle, and I could probably never beat bosses without him. I’m hoping to get better companions, hopefully a Tribal Crew Pack will give me a companion!
- Clever Cole Crow – My personal favorite companion is Goronado, the Gortez clone. Why?
1. He has two powers. First, there’s Vicious Charge, which allows him to span the board reasonably quickly. And then, Gorilla Warfare, which is a physical AoE that allows him to attack all the enemies directly around him.2. He holds up well in combat. While he’s not the heaviest hitter, being a Buccaneer, he’s still a pretty skilled combatant.3. He looks awesome!
Congratulations once again to all the winners – enjoy your prize codes!!
Ditto P. Monster
Captain Ditto is looking for Trouble’s Lamp…
Captain Ditto is a helpful sort of guy, and during his travels he met a down on his luck pirate named Trouble Tompkins. Trouble asked Ditto to help him get a magic lamp that he thought would solve all his problems! During his many travels, Ditto comes across such a lamp in a locked chest in an old abandoned house!
Ditto versus Finn Dorsal, Round 2!
Captain Ditto once again faces off against Finn Dorsal, the nefarious thug behind the theft of The Mooshu Falcon. The last time they crossed swords, Ditto and his crew were defeated by Finn’s ferocious onslaught and were forced to retreat. This time, Ditto has an all new strategy and some better weapons, and he finally used his training points on his crew, too…
The strategy was one I’ve talked about before – everyone attack a single enemy at a time and try to ignore the others. Using this strategy, plus a handy barrage in the opening salvo to soften up the enemy crew (highly recommended), Ditto and his crew are finally victorious and open the mysterious box which should contain the Mooshu Falcon – but does it?
The mystery of the stolen statue deepens even more!!
Pirate101 Tribal Crew Packs Contest!!
Pirate101 has a great new item pack, the Tribal Crew Pack, and in it you could get some amazing new stuff, including Aztecosaur Companions, Mounts, Weapons, Housing Items, Pets, and Pirate Treasures that can be sold at vendors for gold! These Crew Packs are available in-game now for Crowns, but Ditto has got some to share with his fans and followers – and you know how Ditto loves giving away prizes! For the Tribal Packs there will be two ways to win, so everyone can get a chance!! (more…)
Captain Ditto battles Finn for the Mooshu Falcon!!
So after much investigation, Ditto and his crew have found Finn, hidden away in Jonah town. Ditto and friends burst in on him, demanding he turn over the fabled icon, and.. well, Finn doesn’t really WANT to hand over the Mooshu Falcon. In fact, he’s pretty much dead set against it. Ditto and his crew fight valiantly against Finn and his surly crew, but unfortunately Finn has apparently learned a few tricks since the last time we fought him, and things don’t go as well for Captain Ditto.
This is a great example of a really challenging fight (at least it was to me) that needed some real strategy – strategy that I did not have… I will have to review the fight and see what other strategy I can use to defeat Finn and his minions.
Ditto in Ship to Ship combat against the Cutthroats!
As part of the quest for the fabled Mooshu Falcon, recently stolen from Captain Avery, Ditto needs to fight dreaded cutthroats on the high seas, er… aether… Ditto’s trusty ship is more than up to the task as he tangles with multiple cutthroat ships, cannon’s blazing! Ditto cruises the skyways, looking for cutthroat ships in order to wrestle out key information on the location of Finn – as well as Blind Mew’s old antique telescope.
I love the ship to ship combat in this game, it’s fun and challenging and can be really exciting. I need to start looking for more ship upgrade soon. I still want a cool looking ghost ship…
Captain Ditto finds Archer! Progress in ‘The Case of The Mooshu Falcon’!
Ditto is still on the trail of the Mooshu Falcon! He visits Blind Mew, the dockside informant, searching for clues, and boy does he get one! That Blind Mew is pretty knowledgeable about many things and seems to be a great source of information in general.
In this case, thanks to Blind Mew’s keen senses, Ditto learns that the thief, Archer, is hiding out in the old tunnels behind the old waterfall… Mew also has one of the most unusual requests for Ditto – it seems some nasty cutthroats stole his telescope of all things, and he wants it back. I’ll have to see what I can do about that…
Ditto follows Archer into the ancient tunnels and, of course, bad stuff happens. Bad stuff always happens in ancient tunnels and caves – never once has Ditto gone into a dark damp tunnel and found a cookie, for instance. Usually just bats and spiders and bad guys. So anyway, there is a big fight, stuff happens, and Ditto wins (yay!). So does Ditto and his stalwart crew find the fabled Mooshu Falcon? Well… not exactly. More Adventures to come!!
