Captain Ditto and Fair Christina Nightingale battle General Tsao!

One thing that Kingsisle has always done well in their games is funny pop-culture references, from Firefly to old John Wayne movies to Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Who.  Mooshu is no different, and of course in a world named after Chinese takeout, they would be a villain named ‘General Tsao’…  Ditto has spent months slowly making his way through Mooshu in order to face General Tsao, and the final battle was definitely NOT disappointing!

For this battle I had help from the wonderful Fair Christina Nightingale, who joined me as my trusty crew and I infiltrated General Taso’s formidable fortress…  She showed me a few great tricks, like a lava attack and her ‘Terror-cotta Warriors’, who were highly impressive!  She has a great crew too – she trusted Ratbeard a lot more than me and trained him up to a formidable level, and her Bonnie Anne is simply unstoppable! She’s a great captain to have such a great crew.

And then there was the final battle, where we had to face the general himself… and of course there was a reference to the perennial combo-menu favorite, ‘General Taos’ Chicken’!!  (Fun fact – Ditto is a vegetarian and does not eat General Tsao’s Chicken, but Miss Narrator makes a wonderful ‘General Tsao’s Chick’n’ made with a vegan chicken substitute…)

This was one of my favorite parts of this quest – again Kingsisle changes things up and, instead of defeating the big boss at the end of this quest line, you merely have to endanger his chicken!!  Fair Christina helped Captain Ditto open the way through The General’s guards, and we won the day with some sneaky swashbuckling!!   This was just a lot of fun, and playing with friends always makes it better!!
