Ditto Enters Celestia!!
Celestia was released about a year ago, in October 2010, and finally, in October 2011, I have made it into that amazing undersea world myself! Wizard 101 for me has never been about being ‘first’ to do anything, so getting to Celestia a year after release is just fine for me, even preferable in some ways.
Now that I have been exploring quite a bit in Celestia, I have a few initial impressions to share. First, it is beautiful – the design is really impressive! After exploring every other biome that Wizard 101 has to offer for the past year and a half, the design and style of Celestia is really stunning and – though I love all the other worlds – it’s definitely a welcome change!
Second, the mythology is also a nice change, since we’re off the ‘Stop Malistaire’ storyline, the story can expand in all kinds of ways, including adding hew schools of magic and whole new mythologies that are fresh and very exciting!
Finally, Celestia is SCARY! Getting to Malistaire, finishing up most of Dragonspyre by myself, doing so well in a lot of really big fights, I was feeling pretty confident in my Pyromancer’s abilities! As soon as I stepped into the dueling circle in Celestia, much of that went right out the window! Simple street mobs seem to be practically boss level here, tossing helephants and flaming colossus spells and hitting me for major damage left and right! It’s impressive and gives a whole new level of challenge that I’m really happy about!
That’s about all for now – I’ve got some great videos that I’m still editing and will be posting throughout the week. This is probably the first time I’ve just stopped and taken a video of the scenery in a few places, because it realyl is amazing and impressive. Hopefully you’ll enjoy my Celestian adventures as much as I am!!
