Ditto the Monster looks at the world of family friendly online games from a Fabricated American perspective

The Destiny Project, Week 7

I’m still in Krokotopia and doing well.  This week I wanted to talk about something new that’s happened a couple times now, something I wasn’t quite expecting.  You see, someone running around in all starter clothes in Wizard City is pretty normal, not out of place at all.  Krokotopia, however – that’s obviously a different story.

I have had another player stop to try to explain to me how to change my clothes and I’ve had someone try to give me treasure cards, both assuming (I think) that I didn’t know how to play the game.  I find this very amusing, but it does make sense. The starter robes and wand are very distinct and no other ‘good’ equipment looks quite the same, so I guess anyone still using that equipment outside of Wizard City looks pretty strange.

Not much else new to report this week, as I didn’t get to play too much – I had forgotten how much I loved Krokotopia though!  I think it’s still my favorite world.  I’m just about ready to make level 16, that should be pretty exciting!

You know, I think that wearing clothes with no stats won’t mess with what you’re doing. But, it does seem pointless t do that.

If you want to get away from the people who keep telling you how to do stuff, just put on no-stat clothes. Then people will probably tell you how to stitch your clothes together, but still, it’s better than people telling you how to play the game!
