The Destiny Project – Week 5

Destiny versus Gobblers

Destiny faces off against some gobblers

It’s starting to get interesting.  I made level 13 this week, almost to level 14, and I’ve completed everything in wizard city except Colossus Blvd. – I’m about halfway through Gobbler-Town now.  Taking on multiple opponents isn’t as tricky as I expected, but I DO need to take a secondary school, so I’m going to ask for some suggestions.  Currently I’m thinking either life, to help with more healing options, or ice, to get that tower shield.  Is there another option?  What does everyone else think?

For stats, I’ve got 744 health, 41 mana, and interestingly enough close to 10,000 gold.  It makes sense, because I don’t buy anything at all and sell all the gear and reagents I get, but still, I think it took Digby a lot longer to have a gold balance like that. Mana is still my biggest annoyance, but it’s getting better.  Travel is still a pain, but only because I’m so used to zipping around with Digby – normal walking speed seems like a snails pace to me when I jump on with Destiny.

Once I’m done with the Gobblers I’m off to Krokotopia, where I’m sure things will get really interesting.  I have many fond memories of Krok when I was there with Digby, so I’m really looking forward to it.

  1. I agree that Life could come in handy, but as a Necromancer Destiny has some powerful heals already. I would go Ice, for tower shield, or take Balance for weakness. Tower is the stronger of the two so Ice would probably be the best bet IMO. With that you also get to take Volcanic shield to reduce the damage of Fire and Storm which are the heaviest hitting creatures. Of course, I’ve never tried anything like this so I have no idea how well it would work.

I think you should choose Ice, and go up to Tower Shield, then you can go from that to Meteor Strike because it will definately come in handy in KT and MS.

heres my take on the secondary schools Ditto,
    Ice to Tower Shield
    Life to Satyr
    Death to Feint
now since you’re death already I’ go Life to sprite the switch to Ice to get the tower shield then go bac to life to get the satyr. you also my want to invest in getting 80% shields
