Ditto Versus Ivan Soulsinger!

Deep in the heart of Dragonspyre, I have to go in and face Ivan Soulsinger, a very naughty wizard who has trapped a bunch of Drakes….

It was a pretty standard fight, Ivan had over 4000 health (the bosses are getting tougher and tougher out here)  – I took out the fire minion first, then just blasted Ivan as much as I could and finally took him out.  I needed a few pixies to keep my health up and finally took my own advice and didn’t get too risky with the ‘just one more hit’ mentality, healing before I desperately needed it (I always lose when I wait too long…)

  1. Ah, Ditto, and this is just the questing! Tell us, will you farm DS Bosses for your Grandmaster Gear drops, or proceed straight past them , to Celestia?

    Decisions, decisions!

    Be well!

    “that is effective” … lol

I love that you showed your deck during the battle. I was shocked the first time I saw a video of an advanced player’s deck as he battled. He had so few spells!

I seem to be the kind of wizard that needs wheels on my backpack because I carry everything … just in case I may (or someone else) need it. No one ever told me, in my novice wizard days, to keep a slim deck.

Later on, I tried to reduce my deck but it was too stressful … maybe I didn’t choose correctly.

I hope you do more battle videos. Today, I went back to fight the Tree of Life NPCs and I had some of those new Polymorph spells. I thought they did something differently. I used a Balance one. 6 turns is a long time! I wish that I had seen a video of them in action. But, also, I shouldn’t have tried out a new spell while soloing with the Death Oni. I did win, though.

Also, I liked that you gave us tips. Especially that tip about not taking a risk about “oh, it’s only one more hit”. I had to be conscious of doing that today because it seems like there is more fizzling going on than there used to be.

    Thank you.

  4. I’ve run into that “one more hit” trap quite a few times lately with my Death wizard in Celestia. He probably relies way too much on those health-stealing spells for healing, when he *has* to hit to heal that’s when he fizzles or doesn’t get that last power pip in time.
