Ditto’s Video Bloggy Thingy August 21

Hello everybody, it is the Ditto with another Video Bloggy Thingy! Wow has there been a lot going on; it is a very exciting time to be a monster! Lots of games, contests, and more – so much fun and excitement!
First, the twitter report – which is exciting in itself! Ditto has 894 followers!! Nearly 900! That is so cool and amazing and a little crazy! I want to say thanks to all my followers out there, especially followers like The Great Space Coaster, which was a show DItto used to LOVE when it was on. IT had some great Fabricated American actors on it, and was a fun show to watch while DItto was growing up.
In Wizard 101, Ditto has finished Celestia and is on to Zafaria!! Paige Moonshade and Mark Swiftgem helped Ditto through The Trial of The Spheres, which was a REALLY big, long dungeon! Every boss we fought, DItto thought it was the final boss… DItto was so wrong. There are lots of good videos coming for The Trial of The Spheres, possibly one a day! Zafaria looks so very cool, too – I can’t wait to adventure and explore there and help find the missing students!
So for Pirate 101, let’s see, I think there may be some news there… Well, DItto did have a very fun contest giving away Beta keys, that was very fun and I was happy to give so many people beta keys. I wish I could have given out a hundred, but 25 was still pretty great, I’m hoping all the winners are now having fun in-game. Oh, and Ditto was very fortunate to have been given the opportunity to write about Pirate101 Companions before the NDA was lifted, that was a great honor, and I really love the companion system and the combat in Pirate 101 – it is so very exciting! I’m thinking there was one other thing to talk about here… what was it… Oh yes, one more little thing – The NDA has officially been lifted, so we can post screenshots and videos and talk all about Pirate101 now! It is SUCH a fun game, Ditto has been playing it a lot, in between my Wizard101 sessions, and oh boy is it great!! Right now I’m bouncing back and forth between a Witch Doctor and a Swashbuckler, though I’ve tried each class at least a little. The storyline is fantastic, and you really do sail around doing ship to ship combat, boarding other ships, and following old maps and legends and searching the jungles for treasure! It’s so much fun, and I can’t wait for it to go live – I don’t know when that will be, but with the NDA lifted, it’s probably pretty soon… Fingers crossed.
And finally, my other big announcement – Ditto is going on vacation!! Starting tomorrow, I will be on vacation for a week. I will still (hopefully) be posting new videos, mostly of Trial of The Spheres, but I won’t be too active aside from that. It’s been a while since Ditto took a vacation, so me is really looking forward to it. Ditto and Friends Face Astraeus in Trial of the Spheres!
Ditto, Paige Moonshade, and Mark Swiftgem head into the Trial of The Spheres and face their first major adversary – Astraeus! This is a BIG battle and it goes on for a while as the team builds up their power and starts working together. It was a great time – you can tell by some of my commentary that Ditto thought this was the only big fight in this dungeon.. oh how wrong I was!! The battle was really long so it’s broken up into two parts… The really big awesome hit is around 11:45 in the first vide0.
Ditto Begins The Trial of The Spheres – The Puzzle Room
Here it is, the epic closing chapter of Celestia – The Trial of The Spheres! This is the entry room which is all Puzzles. With the help of Miss Paige Moonshade and Mark SwiftGem, we make short work of the puzzles. Well… Ditto gets a bit confused, but we get all the puzzles solved.
Ditto finishes The Chancel and finally unlocks Trial of The Spheres!!
Well after a very exciting week where most focus has been on Pirate101, Ditto has finally completed Celestia and has made it to Zafaria!! Ditto has a lot of video from The Trial of The Spheres, but to get there, he needed to defeat Big Salgio in The Chancel and unlock the final stone in the Grand Astrolabe. To defeat such a heavy boss, he got help from Sean Redhammer. (more…)
Some Wizard101 Fun – Ditto unlocks the Final Boss in The Chancel!
I’ve had a lot of Pirate101 activity this week, but we can’t forget Wizard101! Ditto is wrapping up The Chancel and has to solve the Sunstone puzzle thingy to unlock the final boss – he looks really big though, so I’ll need some help fighting him…
Ditto Faces the Third Shark Lieutenant in The Chancel
Another good battle against the third and final Shark Lieutenant – these Rank 10 boss fights are intense and a great lead up to the big final battle! It’s important to make sure you have full health and the right cards in your deck before you start a fight like this – but when you’re ready for it, they’re awesome.
Ditto faces the second Shark Lieutenant in The Chancel
Ditto has updated his deck for boss fights and takes on the second Shark Lieutenant in The Chancel. I added in feint, elemental blades, all the Efrit I could carry, and updated my treasure cards, and you can see this fight takes about a third as long as the last one did, so deck construction is very important.
Ditto Faces the First Shark Lieutenant and Makes a Big Mistake!
Ditto is up against the first Shark Lieutenant in The Chancel, making his way to the final boss. The problem with this battle is that I went in without my deck set up for boss fights. No Feint, not too many buffs, and only two Efrit spells, but fortunately Ditto has his awesome Pyromancer skills to rely on… It’s a tough fight and an important lesson – make sure you’re prepared for a big battle!
Ditto Opens a Mystical Door by Defeating Robots
Ditto’s path forward in The Chancel is blocked by a glowing energy door, and Ditto must activate six obelisks to get the door open. Of course what they don’t tell you is that the six obelisks don’t open the door – they summon two nasty Stellar Protectors instead! Ditto actually has to defeat the stellar protectors to get through the door. And of course Ditto cannot remember what school of magic Sun enemies have resistance against…
Ditto Enters The Chancel! What kind of name is ‘Chancel’ anyway?
Ditto finally makes it into The Chancel and needs to find The Sun of Celestia. Of course it’s not where it’s supposed to be – nothing ever is – and Ditto needs to fight some big shark warriors and figure out where they took the Sun thingy. The fight is a good one, with Ditto facing off against a group of rank 9 Pisceans… This is the beginning of a series of intense duels, since The Chancel certainly doesn’t play nice!!
Ditto Hanging Out with Thurston Plunkett
After defeating that Mako guy in the Barbeque and recovering the portal piece, Ditto goes back and talks to his old buddy Thurston Plunkett, and Thurston sounds pretty darn excited if you ask me! Apparently this portal piece gives Ditto access to The Solarium itself – woohoo!! Of course for someone so interested in the mysteries of The solarium, he sends me away pretty quick, but what are you going to do… wacky scientists!
Ditto and the Battle in the Barbecue!
After talking with Caypso, Ditto heads out and finds the barbecue and sure enough, there is a shark leader in there named Mako who wants to fight, so Ditto battles him and his fishy minion… Ditto sets up the perfect winning blow and takes Mako out with a massive Efreet spell. It was a hot time in the old barbecue…
Ditto Recovers the Pirate Treasure! Yarrr.
After having a nice, calm, brutal duel with Calypso, Ditto had a chat with her and agreed to go get her treasure, which wasn’t particularly difficult to find.
Finally, Queen Calypso is ready to help the crustacean cause, but offers up a better solution than adding her pirates into the fight. Apparently as part of the treasure there is a key to the barbecue, and somehow that is important, so Calypso sends Ditto to the barbecue or something like that… Barbecue? Doesn’t she know Ditto does not eat meat?
Ditto Battles Calypso!!
Ditto is sent to talk to Queen Calypso, leader of the Pirates! Of course Ditto can rarely ‘talk’ to anyone without it turnining into a massive battle, and this is no exception! So Ditto faces off against the wicked Pirate Queen – and what a battle it is! Ditto’s pyromancer skills are put to the test!!
Ditto returns the compass to the Pirates, plus Shock-A-Lock!
After defeating Castus Hexfin and getting the compass back, Ditto returns it to the pirates of The Calypso and earns an audience with their captain, Queen Calypso herself, who may be able to help him. After talking to the pirates, Ditto find a silver chest and plays a rousing game of ‘Shock-a-Lock’! That really is Ditto’s favorite game – it’s so exciting!!!
Ditto versus Castus Hexfin, with help from Sean Redhammer
After my defeat at the hands of Castus Hexfin, I knew I couldn’t beat him alone, so I sent out a call for help on Twitter, and thankfully Sean Redhammer was able to log in a give me a hand. He does a great job helping me stay alive (no easy task!) and its a great fight – I definitely appreciate his help!
Ditto versus Acastus Hexfin and clearly outnumbered…
After lots of searching, Ditto finds Acastus Hexfin, holder of the compass the Calypso crew needs. Isn’t that always the case – you find it in the last place you look? Well, actually, if you find it, why would you keep looking? I never really though about it like that… Anyway, Acastus and his two ice minion aren’t willing to give up the compass, so easily… a fact that becomes painfully obvious early into the duel. As they say – you win some, and then this happens…
Saturday Special! Celestian Adventures with a senator and a pirate!

KingsIsle has outdone themselves – Winter Wind Tower, with pictures!
Sometimes a game does something that’s just so over the top awesome, it’s hard to take it all in. Today, Wizard 101 launched some new bundle cards, the Pagoda Tower bundle and Majestic bundle cards, and I was fortunate enough to get my furry hands on a Majestic Bundle. I have to say, this bundle is one of the best I’ve ever seen – I am in love with every piece of it! (more…)
Shock a Lock! Plus bad news from a senator…
Ditto just loves Shock a Lock! Once Ditto finishes winning at his favorite mini-game, he heads back to Senator Xanthus to ask him for the pirate’s treasure, which is the only way the crew of The Calypso will help their cause. Ditto finds out that – now here’s a shocker – the crustaceans don’t have the any more, the lophians took it! Seems like Ditto’s on a treasure hunt now!

Ditto and the Pirates – True Treachery!
After gathering ‘cannonballs’ from the local stellar protectors, Ditto learns the true treachery faced by the crew of the Calypso – the crabs took their treasure! Now it’s up to Ditto to get it back if the crustaceans wants the pirates’ help!
Ditto finds the Pirates!! Lieutenant Dafoe wants his gold!
Still on his mission for the Crustaceans, Ditto finally finds Lieutenant Dafoe of the Pirate Ship Calypso, who says he’ll help – as long as he gets his gold back! Looks like that’s going to be Ditto’s next big mission….
Ditto’s Surprise Pirate Boss Fight!
Ditto was supposed to fight some pirates and get their help, but instead somehow he winds up fighting a big random wandering Rank 10 boss pirate! Yikes!! IT was a tough fight, but Ditto pulled it off – though the pirates couldn’t really help him and sent Ditto to talk to their Lieutenant… More pirate fun ahead!!
