Battling Pike SpiritCrusher
Here is the finale of my epic boss fight. After defeating those nasty ice spiders I had to duel their boss, the cyclops Pike SpiritCrusher. Pike was pretty annoyed with me after I told him Pike was the name of a fish, and the battle commenced. Thankfully I was victorious, since I did not want to duel those ice spiders again…
And does anyone know why his Ghoul spell was able to bypass my Spirit Armor? It absorbed damage from his other spells after that, but Ghoul seemed to do full damage? Do death spells bypass those absorbs? If so, that’s pretty sweet… For death school, anyway. Kind of a bummer for me.

You weren’t imagining things, a Ghoul spell will go right through Spirit Armor. Spirit Armor only blocks Damage spells (ones with the fist icon), not Death school’s health stealing spells (the ones with broken heart icons – Ghoul, Vampire, Wraith and Scarecrow).

OK, good to know – I never noticed that before, but I haven’t used Spirit Armor much. thanks for the info!!

This might also help you: A shield cast after a spirit armor will activate, but not one cast before. This is because it didn’t pierce the spirit armor so it won’t go through to the next shield. (Also, 2 Spirit armors will have one pierced and do damage before another will activate)
