Ditto Learns about Life in The Savanna
Ditto talks to Chief Kakuta, one of the chiefs of the various warring tribes out on the savanna. It turns out they’re really just trying to mind their own business, and these other tribes keep stealing their stuff. It seems unfair. The Chief wants Ditto to go fight some striped iklaws and get his spears back… apparently he’s having trouble getting his point across…
Get it? Point? Well, Carl laughed.
Ditto explores the Savanna. He’s got his work cut out for him…
Ditto has finally made it out of Baobab and into the savanna. Out in the savanna Ditto gets word from Tik Tik Snaketongue that there are all kinds of problems between the various tribes, there’s a serious lack of food, and there’s not a single Starbucks. It sounds worse than Dragonspyre…. Ditto needs to go out and help the locals in order to find out what happened to the students. Lots of daring adventure and thrilling battles on their way out here…
New Video – Ditto Still Looking for Permission #wizard101
So ditto has defeated bandits, gotten maps, done all the favors he could… and STILL he is not allowed to go out into the Savannah to look for the missing students! Now he has to convince one more official, but he’s gone, so now I have to talk to his lackey, Vir Goodheart, and see what HE needs done…
Oh – and 5 points to anyone who got the subtle Babylon 5 reference….
More Zafarian Politics…. Where’s Jar Jar?
So after defeating the scary shadow bug thingys, Ditto is still trying to convince the Zafarian council to let him out onto the Savannah to look for the missing students. Zafaria is kinda starting to feel like Star Wars Episode 1 – there’s a bunch of political stuff going on, and there’s some cool fights stuck in between the politics… I should be able to get out to the Savannah soon, to search for the missing Ravenwood students…
Big Bad Bossy Bugs in the Baobab!
While Ditto was searching for a map in the student dorms high up in the great Baobab, he is confronted by a rank 10 boss fight! Ditto is faced with a nasty big bug boss and a shadow-web minion – and these guys mean business! Really high health and they hit me with big spells first tun – it took all of Ditto’s considerable Pyromancer’s skills to win this one! It seems Zafaria might be a bit more difficult than I thought…
Ditto Explores Baobab Crossroads, Sings like an Ewok
Ditto is back and adventuring in the heart of Zafaria – well, more like the outskirts of Zafaria, in Baobab crossroads. I speak to some zebras, like you do…, learned about Zafarian politics, and then found a terrifying surprise in the heart of the Baobab! Plus, Ditto sings like an Ewok.
I do love the fact that the design of Zafaria is so different from Celestia (the last world, obviously) and has a life and depth all its own. I loved the design and story of Celestia, with the ancient ruins and gears and magical glowy stuff, but Zafaria is a wonderful new style and experience totally unique. I do think KingsIsle has really improved on their environment design, the visuals and the flow here are just beautiful!
New Video Bloggy Thingy – Ditto is back online! Yay!!
Ditto is finally back online! Yes, Ditto had some internet gremlins this week that kept me off the internet and, sadly, off Wizard101 and Pirate 101. I also missed Ravenwood Radio and getting my Daring Adventures of Ditto out, which was sad 😦
One positive thing did come out of this – while my laptop was not working, I got to try a new game (well, new to me) called Skylanders, which is a lot of fun! I might have to try to get a video of me playing that one…
Ditto and The Temple of Gloom, Part 2
Here is the completion of Ditto’s ‘ Temple of Gloom’ quest – in this video Ditto and his crew get into a battle where the goal isn’t to fight, but to unlock statues to drain the temple and complete the quest. Ditto also faces the final shark boss (and best pop culture reference yet) , Fin Dorsal, and heads back to Captain Avery to complete his quest and get his first ship… or does he?
Ditto and the Temple of Gloom – Part 1
For this week’s Pirate101 Beta videos, Ditto will be exploring the extended quest and dungeon mechanics of Pirate101. I have two videos covering ‘The Temple of Gloom’ quest from start to finish, which shows off a lot of the great mechanics in Pirate101, from boss fights to fabulous pop culture references to one of my favorite new mechanics, the ‘puzzle room’, where instead of defeating a bunch of opponents you have to meet a series of requirements or solve a puzzle or something – usually while dodging attacks from enemies.

Ditto Begins his Adventures in Zafaria!!
Ditto is finally in Zafaria, searching for lost students for Professor Falmea. It is a rugged and wild land, full of big trees and zebras and… stuff… yes, lets and lots of stuff. Ditto talked to a zebra and a lion, and has made a startling discovery – no matter where you are in the spiral, if a wizard walks up to a random person on the street, that person will undoubtedly have a job or quest for the wizard… It’s like they’re rooted to the spot and can’t even walk across the street to talk to someone themselves!
And here’s where Ditto gets REALLY confused…
The is the last video in Ditto’s ‘Doing the wrong quest’ series – Ditto finally confronts Professor Balestrom about the weird quests he’s been on, and it turns out that Ditto has NOT been questing towards Zafaria as he thought, but questing to get to Celestia… AGAIN. Ditto decides to talk to Headmaster Ambrose and see what’s going on… Next, Ditto returns to Zafaria!
Ditto still on the path of Mystery… In Krokotopia!!
Still following the mysterious path Professor Balestrom set Ditto on, we travel to Krokotopia to seek out a mysterious stone that will help him translate the mysterious language heard on the audio-transmitter-thingy. Ditto is confused by Professor Balestrom
Once Ditto completed the Trial of The Spheres, he talked to Professor Balestrom in the Storm School. Unfortunately, Professor Balestrom talks fast and kind of has an accent, and so Ditto got confused and started doing this quest that he THOUGHT was the quest to get to Zafaria. It took him a while to figure out he wasn’t actually headed to Zafaria here… but I figured I would share the videos anyway, since they are still fun, and even funnier when you think that I have no idea what I’m doing here… (more…)
Pirate101 New Character Experience!
Well here it is, at long last – Ditto’s very fist Pirate101 gameplay video!! I’ve been so excited to put one of these out – of course the NDA on the Beta lifted mere hours before I was to head off for vacation, so I’m a little behind the curve, I’m sure. Other fan sites have probably posted frame by frame walkthroughs of all this already – but I guarantee that Ditto’s new player walk-through has 100% more furry orange monster, so it’s TOTALLY worth watching!
Ditto creates a new Pirate101 Character
This video goes from the fun character creation narrative, where Boochbeard the Pirate and his Monkey companion find Ditto locked in an Armada brig, through choosing Ditto’s backstory and class, then gaining my first companion, a horse Samurai. There’s a ground combat tutorial and a ship to ship combat tutorial that are both great, and Ditto plays around with flying a big sailing ship – it’s so fun! There will be lots more following this one, especially once Beta is over and the game is officially open!
Ditto Enters Zafaria!
So after battling his way through Celestia and completing the Trial of The Spheres, Ditto is called to Headmaster Ambrose’s office – it seems there’s a student exchange program to Zafaria, and apparently the students are missing! And so Ditto begins his exploration of Zafaria, world of mystery!!
And yes, Ditto did most of Professor Balestrom’s quest for Celestia before figuring out he was not on the Zafaria quest… that’s why I say ‘Oh, there’s Zafaria’ when Headmaster Ambrose gives it to me…
Ditto and Paige Moonshade battle Mithraya in Trial of The Spheres!
I’m back from vacation!! We had a good time, but it’s nice to be back – lots more videos coming soon, including Pirate 101 stuff!!
Today I have another exciting battle in Trial of The Spheres – Paige Moonshade and Ditto face Mithraya, the final Trial of The Spheres boss (Really this time) who casts smoke on everyone unless there are blades and traps present. I do hire a life henchman mid-fight as the damage is getting pretty severe. Together we’re able to take out this impressive adversary. She looks fantastic too – the character model here is really outstanding!
Ditto and the Trial of The Spheres Part 5 – Mirror, Mirror
In this room, Ditto has to reposition mirrors, just like in ‘The Mummy’, to get through the next room. Ditto has to be careful to avoid fights – but gets caught in two anyway. So much for being careful. Once the mirrors are arranged, we’re ready to head to the next room, and the next boss… So exciting!!
Ditto and the Trial of The Spheres, Part 4 – Ptolemos!
Ditto and his team face another major boss, Ptolemos – Again, silly Ditto thinks this is the last boss… Oh how wrong he is!! For this boss, we can only use blades, no traps – apparently if you use traps bad things happen, so we didn’t even try it. It’s another great fight and the team of Ditto, Paige, Mark, and Wolf are working well together…
Ditto and he Trial of The Spheres Part 3 – The Moon Puzzle and fighting Stellar Protectors
Ditto and the team have to set all phases of the moon to make progress in the amazing Trial of The Spheres, then battle rooms full of Stellar Protectors. Even though it wasn’t a boss fight, it was intense, and the puzzle of the moons was really cool. It looked amazing.

Hello everybody, it is the Ditto with another Video Bloggy Thingy! Wow has there been a lot going on; it is a very exciting time to be a monster! Lots of games, contests, and more – so much fun and excitement!
First, the twitter report – which is exciting in itself! Ditto has 894 followers!! Nearly 900! That is so cool and amazing and a little crazy! I want to say thanks to all my followers out there, especially followers like The Great Space Coaster, which was a show DItto used to LOVE when it was on. IT had some great Fabricated American actors on it, and was a fun show to watch while DItto was growing up.
In Wizard 101, Ditto has finished Celestia and is on to Zafaria!! Paige Moonshade and Mark Swiftgem helped Ditto through The Trial of The Spheres, which was a REALLY big, long dungeon! Every boss we fought, DItto thought it was the final boss… DItto was so wrong. There are lots of good videos coming for The Trial of The Spheres, possibly one a day! Zafaria looks so very cool, too – I can’t wait to adventure and explore there and help find the missing students!
So for Pirate 101, let’s see, I think there may be some news there… Well, DItto did have a very fun contest giving away Beta keys, that was very fun and I was happy to give so many people beta keys. I wish I could have given out a hundred, but 25 was still pretty great, I’m hoping all the winners are now having fun in-game. Oh, and Ditto was very fortunate to have been given the opportunity to write about Pirate101 Companions before the NDA was lifted, that was a great honor, and I really love the companion system and the combat in Pirate 101 – it is so very exciting! I’m thinking there was one other thing to talk about here… what was it… Oh yes, one more little thing – The NDA has officially been lifted, so we can post screenshots and videos and talk all about Pirate101 now! It is SUCH a fun game, Ditto has been playing it a lot, in between my Wizard101 sessions, and oh boy is it great!! Right now I’m bouncing back and forth between a Witch Doctor and a Swashbuckler, though I’ve tried each class at least a little. The storyline is fantastic, and you really do sail around doing ship to ship combat, boarding other ships, and following old maps and legends and searching the jungles for treasure! It’s so much fun, and I can’t wait for it to go live – I don’t know when that will be, but with the NDA lifted, it’s probably pretty soon… Fingers crossed.
And finally, my other big announcement – Ditto is going on vacation!! Starting tomorrow, I will be on vacation for a week. I will still (hopefully) be posting new videos, mostly of Trial of The Spheres, but I won’t be too active aside from that. It’s been a while since Ditto took a vacation, so me is really looking forward to it. Ditto and Friends Face Astraeus in Trial of the Spheres!
Ditto, Paige Moonshade, and Mark Swiftgem head into the Trial of The Spheres and face their first major adversary – Astraeus! This is a BIG battle and it goes on for a while as the team builds up their power and starts working together. It was a great time – you can tell by some of my commentary that Ditto thought this was the only big fight in this dungeon.. oh how wrong I was!! The battle was really long so it’s broken up into two parts… The really big awesome hit is around 11:45 in the first vide0.
Ditto Begins The Trial of The Spheres – The Puzzle Room
Here it is, the epic closing chapter of Celestia – The Trial of The Spheres! This is the entry room which is all Puzzles. With the help of Miss Paige Moonshade and Mark SwiftGem, we make short work of the puzzles. Well… Ditto gets a bit confused, but we get all the puzzles solved.
Ditto finishes The Chancel and finally unlocks Trial of The Spheres!!
Well after a very exciting week where most focus has been on Pirate101, Ditto has finally completed Celestia and has made it to Zafaria!! Ditto has a lot of video from The Trial of The Spheres, but to get there, he needed to defeat Big Salgio in The Chancel and unlock the final stone in the Grand Astrolabe. To defeat such a heavy boss, he got help from Sean Redhammer. (more…)

I’ve had a lot of Pirate101 activity this week, but we can’t forget Wizard101! Ditto is wrapping up The Chancel and has to solve the Sunstone puzzle thingy to unlock the final boss – he looks really big though, so I’ll need some help fighting him…
